JOE ZEE: Alexander ***'s 10th anniversary celebration
was the only place to be, bringing out stars
like Kanye, Nicki Minaj, and Lady Gaga.
Move over Birkin bag.
Babies are the hot new accessory at fashion week,
and Rebecca Minkoff continues her crusade
to make wearable tech super cool.
This is day three.
Happy Sunday morning, everybody.
I know.
I know.
Listen, it's super early, but we are here
because fashion week does not require sleep.
And you guys, you're watching "Coffee Break" at near fashion
week, and I am so excited, because, well, I'm
Joe Zee, editor in chief of Yahoo Style,
and I'm excited about that, but more exciting
is my gorgeous partner in crime today.
And we call her the angelic, but really glowing--
and you'll know why in a minute-- supermodel Karolina
Kurkova.
KAROLINA KURKOVA: Thank you.
Thank you.
JOE ZEE: Oh my god, I'm so excited.
I have know Karolina-- I have known you for so long.
I'm trying to even think to even when.
You were a baby.
I mean, you're still a baby, and you're going to have a baby.
It's just baby theme today.
KAROLINA KURKOVA: I'm going to have a second baby.
It's a lot of babies.
As you said, babies are everywhere.
JOE ZEE: I know, but you were baby modeling when I first
met you.
I can't remember when.
KAROLINA KURKOVA: I was 16.
I was 16 years old.
JOE ZEE: And now you're 18.
KAROLINA KURKOVA: Yeah, 18, or 21.
At least legally blonde.
JOE ZEE: Right, right, right.
I'm sorry, yes.
21.
But I mean, we were talking about babies
being the hot new accessory at fashion week,
so even just yesterday alone I think Alyssa Milano, Kimora Lee
Simmons, and I think even Snooki brought there baby.
KAROLINA KURKOVA: Really?
JOE ZEE: And Coco Rocha-- they all
brought their newborn babies to the shows, which
I've seen before, but you know what's even more weird?
And I think this is why--
KAROLINA KURKOVA: Oh, we have pictures?
JOE ZEE: Yeah, these are the pictures.
KAROLINA KURKOVA: Oh, look how cute.
JOE ZEE: How cute.
You know what's even more weird, and this
is why I know I love you sitting here because you're
so on trend-- so my editors at Yahoo Style
and I were talking the other, and they
were like, I don't know.
I think the new hot accessory are fetuses.
Everybody's pregnant.
They're like, fetus is the new accessory.
So again, you're--
KAROLINA KURKOVA: The bump, yes.
It's here.
I don't know.
Can you see it?
JOE ZEE: You are on trend.
KAROLINA KURKOVA: You can't really see it,
but yeah, I'm on trend.
Look.
JOE ZEE: Yes.
KAROLINA KURKOVA: Seven and a half months.
JOE ZEE: And not available at Hermes.
KAROLINA KURKOVA: What is it?
JOE ZEE: Not available at Hermes.
KAROLINA KURKOVA: Yeah, no.
I'm sorry.
It's not for sale.
It's not for sale.
JOE ZEE: Did you go to Alexander Want last night?
No, you just got here, right?
KAROLINA KURKOVA: No, I didn't.
I just got to town, and now I'm doing this with you today,
so you know, I needed my beauty sleep.
I needed my mask.
I need to look good.
I want to have my energy, but I'm sure it was great?
I've seen pictures.
You know Alexander likes to have fun.
JOE ZEE: I think you look without all that stuff.
I know.
Alexander *** loves to have fun.
So I tell you.
So I was there.
It was at 9:00 PM on the piers, and I was like, oh,
is it going to be pouring rain?
I mean, it was inside.
It was so amazing.
Number one, the clothes are amazing.
I was like street gear, like military, and leather,
and lace, and all of this stuff.
KAROLINA KURKOVA: And fringes.
JOE ZEE: Fringe.
KAROLINA KURKOVA: I love that military jacket with fringes.
JOE ZEE: Amazing.
KAROLINA KURKOVA: That was really cool.
JOE ZEE: See, you know your stuff.
KAROLINA KURKOVA: Yeah, that's my jacket.
JOE ZEE: But then even more weird
was after the show was over the doors
in the back completely opened, and you
saw a bunch of girls pole dancing,
and that's where the party was all night because it
was going until late, he said, but it was kind of amazing.
It was sponsored by ***.
KAROLINA KURKOVA: Wow.
JOE ZEE: They had *** girls walking around, serving
sliders, and chicken wings, and chicken balls.
I'm like, oh, OK.
KAROLINA KURKOVA: Did you have a chicken wing?
JOE ZEE: No, I did not.
I maybe had a chicken ball.
No, I didn't either.
KAROLINA KURKOVA: Chicken ball.
JOE ZEE: I think everybody was Instagramming all the pole
dancers like crazy, so I think if you just go to Instagram,
you can see a million versions of those girls dancing,
and we were just saying it's such
an art to be a pole dancer.
KAROLINA KURKOVA: Yeah, that's not easy.
JOE ZEE: No, it doesn't look easy at all.
KAROLINA KURKOVA: Have you tried it?
I mean, it's supposed to be great exercise.
JOE ZEE: No, it is supposed to be great exercises, but--
KAROLINA KURKOVA: And that's actually a great picture.
I would love to see you in tight little shorts
or leggings-- pole dancer.
JOE ZEE: Everything about that visual
makes that whole art seem really frightening,
and I'm scaring myself thinking about it.
KAROLINA KURKOVA: It's a good work out, Joe.
We got to look good.
JOE ZEE: That's true, but we'll just leave it that.
So fashion week is also a reason for us
to check out some of the designs.
So we've got stuff that went on day three.
Now, the runway at Herve Leger was all about bandage dresses,
but of course this time it was actually bandage dress free,
but the label still kept to a very body conscious silhouette.
Oh, and they turned heads by showing
pants for the very first time, according
to their creative director, Lubov Azria.
And of course, ladylike sophistication with an edge
was the order of the day at Altuzarra, which is also
one of my favorite shows.
And creative director Marissa Webb went girly and wearable
at Banana Republic.
Now, we'll also be showing you some highlights from Alexander
***, Rebecca Minkoff, and Christian Siriano
later in the show.
Now, in addition to my glamorous co-host--
because she is-- we've also got some fun people
popping by today.
Disney star Olivia Holt will be with us.
Woo!
Right?
YouTube sensation Amanda Steele is dropping by,
and I've known her for a long time, too.
And that's not all.
One of fashion's most fun and dazzling editors, Mickey
Boardman, and you know him as Mr. Mickey.
