Hey sis, what are you doing?
Just came to see what my little sister was up to today.
Oh just trying to get ready for the first day of school.
Are you excited about your first day at college?
Yeah, but I did realize how expensive it all is.
Seriously? I'm pretty sure you heard me complain the entire time I was in college about how
broke I was because of books and supplies.
Well, I thought you were being your normal drama queen self. I really didn't think it
was going to be this crazy.
Well, they don't call them "broke college kids" for nothing.
Yeah, I got an email the other day talking about The Ramen Diet. Apparently it's all
the rage in college. I researched it thinking I'd lose weight and realized it was because
I would be poor.
Ah yes. Ramen.... those were some tough times.
Ugh. Not looking forward to that. I did find something that might save me a little bit
of money.
Oh yeah? What's that?
Well, when you were in school did you rent or buy your text books?
Bought, because there was no such thing as renting back then.
Oh, well I'm debating on which is better.
Well, for the price of renting I would say I was upset that I didn't have the opportunity.
However, I'm proud to say that I still continue to learn from my text books. Money well spent...
read them everyday.
You mean the ones mom brought down from the attic earlier? She was wondering if you already
had the books I need.
Dang it! Alright you caught me, I'm pissed. I can't believe they are letting you rent
them now.
Haha. Why do you think it's better?
Well, I obviously forgot to go and sell back my books, and the ones I did remember to take,
I would have gotten 25 cents for them, just so they could recycle them.
What!? But they are all usually well over $100!
Yeah, but teachers change editions, so they are useless.
Well, thanks for the information, looks like I will be renting.
(mimics her sister) Looks like I'll be renting.... ugh, if you use any of my old books I will
charge you a rent fee too.
Actually, mom said she was charging you to rent that space in the attic... then took
them to be recycled.
What?!?
