Now I've mentioned 4-4-1 or straight-straight vamp in the past, both in the free ball section
and in the clip leading up to this one. What's most important is that you get two pieces
down. First, the two throws. If you're doing that, you're not ready for the trick. But
if you can do the two throws consistently, alternating which hand you start with, the trick itself won't be too hard. You also
need to get used to vamping with a new object. A ball is much harder to exchange hand to
hand in some ways, much easier in others. With a club, basically you just need to make
sure that your hand is gripping at the right point. If you're passing a club to the other
hand and the other hand is receiving it like this, it'll be much harder for you to get
a throw off. Practice just practicing a vamp back and forth in a way that your hand is
taking over the place of the other. Once you have that down, it's time to try your first
straight-straight vamp. It's very simple in concept and easy to understand, but may take
some practice as most of these do. It's a good trick to practice inside so the wind
doesn't blow your clubs everywhere. Start one rotation of the pattern first. One rotation
starting on either side, and then just add on from there.
