Hello and welcome to Neon, a new tv-show at Öppna Kanalen Närke.
Since we have a young editorial staff who works with Neon, our
show's will primary be about topics that concerns young people and
youth culture. Tonight's show is about Tv-series' fans. Lisa Krause
will be a guest in the studio, we'll ask people on town about tv-series
and you'll get to see an exclusive reportage from Dallas 30th reunion
party at Southfork last year.
- Are you fans of something that you have a burning interest for?
If you're fanatics of something in this world or on another planet?
- No, I'm not a big fan of anything. But I like 'Prison Break'.
- I like 'Andra Avenyn'.
- 'Gossip Girl' and 'Prison Break'. - I like shoes a lot.
- Do you tape the show or own DVDs? - Yes I have all seasons.
- Oh how nice.
- 'The Hills'. No 'Desperate Housewives'...
- Have you heard about 'Dallas'? - Isn't that a town?
- No it's a tv-series. - Is it?
- Yeah I've seen the commercial. - I had no idea.
- Now it's time for tonight's first guest. It's a girl who follows approx.
10 different tv-series. So if you want to know if Ross and Rachel were on
a break or who's been run over at Wisteria lane this week she'd be a
good person to ask. Here's Lisa Krause.
- Which tv-series do you watch? - About 15. It's 'CSI Miami', 'CSI NY',
'CSI', 'Friends', 'Grey's Anatomy', 'Desperate Housewives', 'Ugly Betty'
'Andra Avenyn', 'Scrubs', 'Las Vegas'...
- Yeah it's those I can think of right now.
- Are you a fan of any of these tv-series?
- Yes 'Friends' and 'Grey's Anatomy' and 'Gossip Girl'...
and 'One Tree Hill'...it's those shows I'm a fan of.
- And what's the difference between being a fan and a regular viewer?
- A viewer only watch when it's on, a fan follows a show and watch
all episodes and such...
- Are you also involved in any form of fan activities?
- Yeah in April last year, two friends and I went to Göteborg to visit the
set of 'Andra Avenyn', since it was open to the public that day.
- So we went on a tour of the set. -And what was that like?
- It was fun. It's something I'd do again. The cast was there.
- Did you get to meet the cast? -Yes they walked around among us.
They were there and we got to talk to them...
take pictures and get autographs and such...
- What does your friends think of that you're a fan of tv-series?
- I have friends who says "Get a life. You just watch tv-series."
But it's my sparetime and I like to watch tv-series, it's like they play
football or go riding or dancing or anything...
- What's supposed to be in a good tv-series?
- It has to have good actors, a lot of intrigues and
things that you don't want to happen happens, but it all works out anyway.
And the episodes should end when something exciting is going on.
So you have to watch the next episode as well.
- What do you think of when I say the word 'fans'?
- I think of myself since I'm a fan of a lot of things. But then I also
think of...a fan is someone who follows something or has a
favorite singer that they really love and wants to buy everything
that has to do with that artist or something like that.
- Do you have any friends who also like these tv-series?
- One of my classmates also likes 'Gossip Girl'.
- So what do you discuss the day after a new episode has aired?
- We talk about their lives. Also a lot of people watch 'Grey's Anatomy.
- So we talk about that and what happened and 'One Tree Hill'
is also popular among my friends so we talk about those shows.
- What's the difference between Swedish and American shows?
- The Swedish shows are not as good because their actors are not
as believable. So it's not the same thing and the American shows
transmits emotions so you can feel with the characters so
if they cry, I'll cry. But it's not like that in Swedish shows.
- Do you think there's a difference between prime-time and daytime tv?
- I don't know I don't watch any daytime tv-series.
- Do you have any prejudices about daytime tv?
- Yeah they air during the day when no one is at home to watch them.
- What's your opinion about 'Dallas'? - I've seen a few episodes and
it's not the best tv-series I've seen.
- Now it's time for tonight's reportage and this time it's about
one of the biggest tv-series ever. Long before "Bingolotto" ruined
saturday nights this show was on the air. At the most half of the
Swedish population watched it. During 13 years we got to follow
The Ewing family's adventures and fates. In Sweden 'Dallas' premiered
on 30th January, 1981. But in the USA they started to broadcast it
already in 1978. So that's why we're going to Southfork Ranch to
have a look at 'Dallas' 30th anniversary party last year.
Almost all the stars were there to celebrate with their fans.
Over to Southfork.
Welcome to Southfork Ranch. Right now I'm at a Dallas event.
The Tv-series celebrates it's 30th Anniversary this year since it had
it's premiere on American tv in April 1978. So this year almost
all the stars gathers here at Southfork to party with their fans.
So those who are here tonight are Larry Hagman, Linda Gray, Patrick
Duffy, Charlene Tilton, Steve Kanaly, Susan Howard, Audrey
Landers, Ken Kercheval and more of the Dallas stars.
On November 8th, 2008, approx. 1500 Dallas fans from all around
the world gathered at Southfork Ranch to party with the Cast of
'Dallas'. The biggest fans arrived already at 3 in the afternoon.
They had paid up to 1000 dollars for a ticket, which included
dinner and an exclusive picture with the Dallas stars.
