Is sugar bad for you?
In 1998,
the center
for science in the public interest
published a report
called "Liquid Candy"
which stated,
companies
annually prduce
enough soda
to provide
five hundred and fifty seven
twelve ounce cans
to every man, woman and child.
Carbonated drinks
are the single biggest source of refined sugar
in the American diet,
providing the averages twelve to nighteen year old child
with about fifteen teaspoons
of refined sugar, every day.
Now, keep in mind,
that's just an average
from a study done over ten years ago.
Nowadays,
it may be twice that amount.
Today,
a twelve ounce soft drink or energy drink,
often contains eight or more teaspoons of refined sugar
in a single can.
Commercial fruit juices can be just as bad.
Many of them contain ten percent or less real fruit juice.
Guess where the rest of the flavors come from?
Refined sugar
and artificial flavorings.
Reading the labels
of sweet snacks
and drinks can be confusing these days;
and manufacturers will often mask sugar
as something else.
Don't let the following terms full you,
they're all variants of refined sugar,
here's what to look for in the label:
amazake,
carib powder,
corn syrup,
dextrose,
high fructose corn syrup,
maple syrup,
and many others.
It's estimated
the AmericanÉ the average American
processes approximately
one hundred pounds of refined sugar
and seventy five pounds of high fructose corn syrup
every single year.
Dentists, are reporting that the front teeth,
of many boys and girls, are almost
completely void of enamel,
from drinking too much soda.
One fifth
of the two year-old children
consume soft drinks.
So please, reconsider how damaging it is
to put a little soda in your child's bottle
or sippy cup.
In 2004,
Americans spent sixty six ($66,000,000,000.00)
billion dollars on carbonated drinks ($66,000,000,000.00)
and billions more on non-carbonated soft drinks
that works out to about eight hundred and fifty dollars ($850) per household,
enough to by a computer and a years worth of internet access.
In 2005,
carbonated drinks sales exceeded ten billion cases,
equaling
roughly sixty nine ($69,000,000,000.00)
billion dollars in revenue ($69,000,000,000.00)
for the manufactures.
In 1957,
Doctor William Coda Martin
offer the following definition of poison:
medically,
any substance applied to the body,
ingested, or developed within the body
which causes
or may cause disease.
The physical definition:
any substance
which inhibits the activity of the catalyst,
which is a minor substance, chemical, or enzyme
that activates
a reaction.
Doctor Martin
classified refined sugar as a poison,
because it is depletely
of its life-force,
vitamins, and minerals.
Sugar,
ingested daily,
produces a continuously altered
internal ph
meaning the body
becomes acidic.
More minerals
are drawn from
deep within the body
in an attempt to restore a proper balance
consumption of a fine sugar can damage the digestive tract, and eventually affect
every organ in the body.
So how do you avoid refined sugar?
Replace you refined sugars
with xylitol,
preferably
from birch,
raw cane sugar,
stevia,
or even locally ground raw unprocessed honey;
Eliminate soft drinks from your daily routine,
eliminate one can daily until you kicked the habit completely;
avoid energy drinks,
and even the store-bought general
fruit flavored juices is made from concentrate;
limit your sweets
to no more then three times a weekly,
and try to buy all natural organic sweets,
if you have to have them,
containing natural sugars.
When you have a craving for sweets,
or soda,
try eating fresh fruit, such as watermelon,
or citrus fruits;
this will help stabilize you blood sugar,
and satisfied the body's craving for sugar. Also,
cleanse your colon two to three times a week with a high quality
oxygen based colon cleanser,
to reduce the acidic environment,
and
reducing any excess fermentation that might be taking place in your bowel, because of all
the excess sugar.
I nearly believe every disease, or abnormal condition,
known to humans, is caused,
triggered, or amplified by the
toxic exposure
and ingestion
of harmful compounds, such as refined sugar.
This is why it is important to reduce
or eliminate the amount of toxins
entering your body on a daily basis.
