The NSD SM-01 Digital Speedometer offers a fun way to track your exercise progress. The
Speedometer displays numbers of revolutions, current speed in RPM, historical high speed,
and a physical strength index calculating numbers of revs in several intervals.
The SM-01 is a great accessory to any Essential, Fluorescent, or Roll-n-Spin Spinners without
a digital speedometer. You can purchase the SM-01 digital speedometer directly from our
website or on Amazon.
The digital speedometer is also required, if you do not have a Spinner that comes with
a built-in Speedometer, to enter in our monthly Top Speed contest on our Facebook page at
www.facebook.com/NSDSpinner.
Start by removing the ergonomic rubber grip around your Spinner. Then remove the set-screws
holding the two halves of the outer shell together. Insert a flat-head screw driver
between the grooves, twist around the circumference of the Spinner, to separate the two halves
of the outer shell. Take care not to mar the edge of the outer shell, we recommend taping
the tip of the screw driver to keep from damaging the shell.
Put both thumbs on the back of the top cover plate, hold the outer shell in your hand,
and push the top cover plate off.
Note the ?notches? on the upper shell. Align the two tabs on the SM-01 Speedometer with
these notches, place one notch in, then press down on the Speedometer to snap it in place.
Re-assemble the Spinner in reverse. Place the gyroscopic rotor in the top half of the
outer shell, align the two setscrew holes, then snap the two shells together. Do not
over-tighten the setscrews, stop turning when you feel resistance or when the head of the
set screw sits flush with the shell. Replace the ergonomic rubber grip over the reassembled
Spinner.
Turn on the Speedometer and test the various functions, and start spinning!
