\f0\fs28 \cf0 It\'92s Gabrielle here and the Internet is blowing up with the shocking video
of Rutgers University basketball coach Mike Rice abusing players physically and verbally.\
The original video, first reported by ESPN, shows Rice throwing basketballs at players,
pushing them and calling them homophobic slurs. Who does that???!! I can understand the theory
of tough love, but this isn\'92t dodge ball, this is college. That\'92s just wrong! \
And you\'92re not the only one that thinks so. The power of social media has given us
the ability to share videos at a rapid rate. Once leaked, this video was watched and shared
by millions of people. \ Though the original ESPN video was taken down,
there are many other videos circling the Internet showcasing the same abusive behavior. Social
media--it\'92s a bittersweet relationship for most, isn\'92t it? \
\pard\tx8280\pardeftab720\ri720\sl480\slmult1 \cf0 Exactly, when you do something really
good, you\'92re content is shared all over, but when you do something scandalous, the
evidence goes viral. Just goes to show you how social media can make or break your career.

\f0 \cf0 In other big news, Facebook just unveiled Facebook Home for Android, as well
as a Facebook phone for HTC at its live press event on Thursday.\
This is a huge step in terms of technology. Partnering with HTC and AT&T, Facebook introduced
the HTC First, preloaded with Facebook Home. Facebook Home is more than just an app. It\'92s
a layer of technology that can be integrated into your phone to use over your normal Android
operating system. \ For instance, Facebook Home is layered over
your lock screen and displays all your Facebook features. It also downloads new updated information
when your phone is off. It takes the Facebook mobile app and the Facebook chat app and combines
them into one seamless system. \ I almost wish I had an Android powered phone
so I could check it out! But anyway, Facebook Home also includes Chat Heads, another piece
of technology that allows you to chat with friends via Facebook or text message from
anywhere on your phone, even if you were on another app. So if you\'92re reading an article
on the New York Times app and someone Facebook chats you or texts you, a little head will
pop up and display the message. You can then swipe it away when you\'92re finished and
return to your article. It will be available by April 12th. \
Our business development manager Tim Greening, says that this is a really big step for Facebook,
but it can definitely provide more of a seamless connection for users. He also says it\'92s
going to be interesting to see if Facebook will integrate its ads into the technology,
especially since Zuckerberg was quoted as saying he wanted to focus on mobile advertising.\
This could definitely affect \b social media agencies
\b0 in terms of designing ads for mobile feeds. So we will be watching that closely. Oh and
don\'92t forget! April is National Distracted Driving Awareness Month! We will be revealing
an app each week, which will help stop you from texting while driving. It\'92s a serious
issue, and as a \b social media agency
\b0 , we know how difficult it is to disconnect. But please make sure you\'92re not scrolling
through your phone in the car.\ The free Drive Safely app can help prevent
this by reading texts and e-mails out loud. It automatically responds in real time. For
more information on the dangers of texting while driving, visit the Texting Awareness
Foundation website and like them on Facebook. \f1 \
