If you would push someone, not do as you're told, or just ignore the rules, there's a
place for you. The Grate.
See, if you misbehaved at our school you had to spend time on the grate.
It was a simple metal grate. A place for you to take a time out.
A place to think about what you've done. A place for the teachers to keep an eye on
you. And a place for public ridicule.
I remember all the kids staring, pointing, laughing, whispering.
The time spent there was an eternity. But it would come to an end and you were free
to play. It was a good lesson, a good punishment
because you didn't want to be sent to the grate again.
