Ah, the first day of school. I can't wait to get to class.
We're here! Ooh, here come our last two students!
Good morning, this is the broadcast team of Color Orbeementary: Green Leaf,
and Orange Pumpkin. Would you please stand for the pledge of the
Orbeez? I pledge allegiance, to the Orbeez, of the
united cities of Orbeeland. And to the republic, for which it stands,
one nation, under water, indivisible, with liberty and justice for Orbeez.
Celebrating their birthdays today are: Red Cherry in first grade, and Blue River in third
grade. Good morning, teachers, boys and girls, and
staff members, this is your vice principal, Ms. Pale. Welcome to a new year of orbeementary
school. We are very proud of every student who has succeeded in their previous grade.
Good morning boys and girls, this is Mr. Bruise, your principal. Welcome to an exciting new
year at Color Orbeementary School. I hope that we have an exciting year with
you. And help you reach your goals.
Both: Have a great orbeementary year! Good morning everybody, I am your teacher,
Ms. Rose. Good morning, Ms. Rose.
I, too, hope to have a great year with you. But, first, I need to get to know all of you.
Does anybody want to tell me what they did over their summer?
Narration: Tiny Blue raises her hand. Yes, Tiny? I had your sister last year!
I went to the beach with my best friend, Purple Violet.
Ooh, was it fun? Yes, it was! We went surfing, but, luckily,
I didn't drown. Actually, I was there to protect you.
And thanks to you, I'm alive! Sounds fun, anyone else want to share?
Yes, yellow? Would you like to share what you did?
I went to Rolling Street to see my grandparents. Oh, a friend of mine lives on Rolling Street.
It's only a few minutes away from home by car.
That's nice; it's always nice to see relatives. Ok, everybody, I know you all have spectacular
ideas, but now, it's time to move on to reading. There are two groups: Reading Rollers, and
Novel Naturals. If, for fourth quarter, you were above grade
level last year, that means you will be in the novel naturals group. If you were below
or on grade level for fourth quarter last year, you will be in Reading Rollers.
Are you going to read the groups? Yes, I will.
Ok, in the Novel Naturals group, we will have, Tiny Blue, Purple Violet, Clear Crystal, Green
Lime, Orange Basketball, and Pink Strawberry. If I did not call your name for the Novel
Naturals group, you are in Reading Rollers, and I will start with you. Please come up
front. Ok, all of you in the Reading Rollers group,
I will now pass to you this book. It's called, "Bridge to Orbithia."
I've seen the movie! That's good, just be sure not to spoil it!
All right, everybody, I'm sorry I didn't get to meet with the Novel Naturals group, but,
we will tomorrow, first thing. So now, everybody, please take out your red journals. It should
be somewhere in your backpack. We are going to start Language Arts now.
That's my favorite subject! Good, but for today, we're going to copy down
all of our class rules, so please take out a pencil and turn to the first page of your
notebook. All right, everybody, please put away your
notebooks and pencils. We are going to get ready for Specials class, and today you will
be going to the Art Room. Everyone, it's time for science. Please take
out your yellow science journal and a pencil. I will pass out textbooks later.
Are there more rules to copy down? No, Tiny, today we will be taking short notes
about the Solar System. All right, class, now that you're quiet, please
line up for recess, slowly and quietly. Ok, go ahead out the door, Red.
Come on, Tiny, get on the slide! I'm afraid of the height.
All right, then you can ride in my lap, come here!
No, I'll go on my own track. 1, 2, 3!
1, 2, 3! Tiny? Tiny, move! Eeh, eeh! Tiny, can you move?
Ahh! (giggles)
