In this tutorial, we'll show you how to complete your online Comic-Con 2014 badge purchase.
Only those who have purchased a Comic-Con 2013 4-Day attendee or 1-Day attendee badge
and have a confirmed Member ID are eligible to purchase badges during preregistration.
You can confirm your eligibility to participate by logging in to your Member ID account.
You may register up to three people (including yourself) during your registration session
if badge inventory is available. You'll need everyone’s Last Name and Member ID, and
each person must be eligible to participate
If you did not attend Comic-Con 2013, additional badges will be sold during Open Online Registration
at a later date. We do not sell all of our badges during preregistration.
At least 48 hours prior to online preregistration, Comic-Con will send an email to eligible attendees
with the link to the EPIC Registration landing page and your own personal registration code.
Please allow 4 – 6 hours for emails to arrive.
The link in your email will take you to the EPIC landing page. There is no need to rush
to the landing page! The landing page will open at 7:00 AM Pacific Time the day of the
sale. Your arrival time to the landing page does not give you an advantage.
When you arrive at the landing page after 7:00 AM, enter your personal registration
code. Please keep in mind that you should only log in to the landing page with the computer
or device you will be using to purchase your badges. Only one device and one browser will
be authorized to enter the waiting room per registration code.
Once your code has been authorized, you will be allowed to enter the EPIC waiting room.
Please read the instructions on this page carefully, as running multiple devices or
browsers will cause your session to not behave as expected.
When badge sales begin sometime after 9:00 AM Pacific Time, EPIC will take everyone in
the waiting room and sort them into line randomly. Random assignments may take 10 – 15 minutes
to complete, so please be patient and do not hit refresh during the sorting period.
The waiting room will automatically update every two minutes. If the blue circle is spinning,
your page is active! Please monitor the yellow status box for important real-time updates.
When you reach the front of the line, you will be prompted to enter an eligible Member
ID and last name. *Important* You will have 15 minutes to complete your entire registration
session, so please be sure to have all your Member IDs and last names ready!
On the following page, you will select the number of people you are purchasing badges
for; either one, two, or three people total. Please select carefully as you will not be
able to return to this step.
On the badge selection page, you will be shown all available badge inventory. The badge inventory
is being held for you while you enter your information.
Enter the Member ID and last name for every attendee you are purchasing for, click “validate”,
and then make your badge selection.
Uh oh! It looks like Mr. Seaworth is not eligible for today’s sale. That’s ok, you can still
continue without filling in your last attendee’s slot. Be careful not to hit the back button
and try to change your selection or you will lose your reserved badge inventory!
Remember, badge inventory will not refresh while you are on this page. If your desired
badge type is sold out, select another badge type or close your registration session so
another member may be let in.
If you are a junior, senior, or active duty member of the U.S. military, but are not shown
any discounted badge options, please purchase a regular adult badge and contact Comic-Con
by email after the sale.
When you are finished, select “Proceed to Checkout.”
Remember, once you leave this page, all of the unselected badges will be returned to
inventory and you will not be able to go back and retrieve them.
Now that your badges are in your cart, you’ll need to pay for them. Follow the instructions
to enter your credit card information and buyer’s email address.
We’re sorry, but we are unable to accept PayPal. Only one credit card may be used for
your entire purchase. Be sure to input your credit card number and email address carefully,
and then select “Continue.”
You will have one last chance to review all of your information before processing your
order. If you need to edit any of your buyer information, be sure to select the “edit”
option and do not use your browser’s back button.
You can also change your selections by clicking the “remove” option next to each of your
badges. Remember, if you have selected Preview Night and decide to remove any one of your
single day badges, the Preview Night option will be automatically removed as well.
If desired, you can “opt out” of automatic badge consolidation by un-checking this box
here.
Finally, review the badge purchase terms & conditions and type “Agree” into the box below.
If everything is correct, click “Process Order” to complete your registration session.
Congratulations! Your purchase is complete. An acknowledgement email will be sent to the
buyer and the credit card will be charged within 24 - 48 hours. If the charge is successful,
the buyer will receive an email receipt and barcode confirmations will be sent directly
to all registered attendees within 72 hours. You must bring this barcode confirmation and
a photo ID to pick up your badge at Comic-Con.
If your credit card is declined, you will be contacted directly by EPIC Registration
requesting an alternate form of payment. Be on the lookout for this email, as you will
only have a limited amount of time to provide a new credit card.
