How to get rid of diarroeah Diarrhea occurs when the digestive system
is not functioning properly, resulting in frequent loose or watery stools three or more
times a day. The main causes of diarrhea are viral infections, bacterial infections, consumption
of contaminated food and water, anxiety, food intolerance, frequent urination, excessive
sweating, high fever, vomiting and irritable bowel syndrome, Crohn's disease and ulcerative
colitis. You can combat diarrhea with a variety of natural home remedies to fight infection
and provide relief of symptoms.
1. Yogurt Yogurt, especially the one with live cultures
of bacteria such as Lactobacillus acidophilus and Bifidobacterium is a good home remedy
for diarrhea.
These live cultures help restore the good bacteria in the gut and destroy the bad bacteria
that cause diarrhea.
2. Ginger Ginger is used in the treatment of food poisoning
and can also help get rid of cramps and abdominal pain.
Grate a small piece of ginger and add a teaspoon of honey. Eat mixture to promote the release
of gastric juice and enhance digestion. Avoid drinking water immediately after eating.
You can also drink ginger tea two to three times a day to cure diarrhea. Cut a small
piece of ginger and add to a cup of water. Boil the water for a few minutes, strain and
add a little honey before drinking. If fresh ginger is not available, you can use ginger
powder from your spice rack.
3. Apple cider vinegar Another effective home remedy for diarrhea
is apple cider vinegar. It acts as an effective agent against bacteria that cause diarrhea.
Add a teaspoon of apple cider vinegar in a glass of water.
Drink the solution once or twice a day until diarrhea stops.
4. Bananas When it comes to diarrhea, it is recommended
to eat ripe bananas due to its high content of pectin.
Pectin is a water-soluble fiber that helps reduce diarrhea. Bananas are also rich in
potassium, an electrolyte that is compatible with a number of vital functions in the body.
Eat some ripe bananas a day until diarrhea stops.
5. Chamomile tea Chamomile has antispasmodic properties that
may provide relief from abdominal pains that accompany stomach disorders like diarrhea.
It is also useful in reducing intestinal inflammation.
Make chamomile tea by adding a tablespoon of chamomile flowers and a teaspoon of mint
leaves in a cup of boiling water for 10 minutes. Strain and drink the tea several times a day.
You can also drink green tea to help your digestive function properly.
6. Fenugreek seeds Fenugreek seeds are highly recommended for
the treatment of diarrhea due to its high content of mucilage. The mucilage provides
the strong antidiarrheal effect.
Chew a teaspoon of fenugreek seeds along with a spoonful of yogurt.
Alternatively, half teaspoon fenugreek seeds and toasted cumin seeds combined add two tablespoons
of yogurt and mix well. Consume this mixture three times a day for quick relief of diarrhea.
7. White Rice White rice is one of the recommended places
to eat soft foods during diarrhea because it is easy to digest. In addition, it can
help reduce the amount of stool by adding bulk to the stool.
Eat small amounts of white rice (without any added sauces and spices). Gradually increase
the amount of rice as their diarrhea improves.
8. Carrot soup Carrot soup is a food of high volume and is
believed to have ant dyspeptic effects. Carrot soup is especially good for children recovering
from diarrhea because it provides essential nutrients lost during diarrhea.
Wash, scrap and finely chop 500 g of carrots. You have to pressure cook carrots with a little
over half cup of water for about 15 minutes. Drain fluid.
Add a little salt to taste. Eat this fresh soup daily for a few days when
suffering from diarrhea.
