Ok, in addition to not poking fun at other races, at other genders, so forth and so on,
you also want to be really careful about not poking too much fun at yourself. It's o.k.
to make a joke about yourself. It's o.k., to tell a funny story about yourself, or antidote
about yourself. But keep it at a minimum. Because what happens if you are constantly
up there, when you're giving the speech, making fun, making fun, making fun of yourself, what
happens is the audience starts to view you as not so serious. And certainly not as dedicated
to the advocacy of your cause, as you want them to be. So, if you choose to use humor,
and making fun of yourself, certainly keep it at a minimum.
