In this clip, we're going to identify the proper outerwear, to wear for a snowball fight.
I think that some of the best things to wear, would be like a jacket, a winter jacket, like
a ski jacket, or something that would be kind of waterproof, yet not too warm. You don't
want to be able to have, you don't want to be sweating, if you're running around, and
usually, it's good to dress in layers. If you look, I've got kind of a polyester shirt
underneath this jacket , and one layer and then a jacket. Right now, I'm wearing hiking
boots. You can see they're kind of snowy. They're waterproof, very light, very lightweight,
not something that you would want to be out in the snow, all day in, but certainly something
in multi terrains, you can use. If you look over here to my left, I've got some different
boots. These ones are a lot warmer, a little more bulky. They've got Thinsulate insulation,
which keeps one thousand grams of Thinsulate insulation, which is really good, and you
can move around pretty good. Over here, I've got some boots that are extremely warm. They've
got liners inside of them. These I use for ice fishing. They would probably be the warmest,
but something not really mobile. As you can tell, they're quite heavy, quite bulky, and
for fighting, you probably wouldn't want to use, because you would want to be able to
move around, and that would not allow a whole lot of mobility, so it's just something with
a combination of mobility and warmth, is what you're looking for, and that's generally,
what you want to wear. In a fight, in a snowball fight, having extra clothes on hand is good,
because if they get wet, then you can change them out, to something dry and warm. A winter
hat is really important when you're outside, as well. You can see I've got this hat on
now, and it's something that's really something to think about, when you're outside in general,
because you lose a great deal of your heat, through your head, and during a snowball fight,
you want to have something that keeps you warm, but really doesn't obstruct your vision
too much, so kind of a medium sized hat, like I've got, should be fine. Nothing really too
heavy, and that's generally the best route to go. This hat is a good kind of hat to use
because it's warm, but it's kind of bulky. You can see the flaps covering my ears. I
can't really hear very good, and the top, kind of sliding down over my eyes. It's kind
of restricting the vision a little bit, so you probably want to use a different kind
of a stocking cap, or something a little lighter. A hat also will protect you from getting hit,
inside of the head, and keep you from getting your ear plastered with snow, or something
like that, so that's another reason to wear a hat. Sunglasses are good for a sunshiny
days. You can see today is real shining, and the sun reflecting off the snow, can really
cause a glare, which is hard to see very good. You generally look for something that has
a combination of mobility and warmth, and that's ultimately, what you'd want to end
up with wearing, in a snowball fight.
