Hi there everybody, my name is Bohus and welcome to this new episode
of FDXtra, and in this show we're going to talk about the Sony
RX1. This is a wicked cool camera because
it is a full-frame camera, it has the performance of a full size DSLR
with a 35mm sensor. But look, it's tiny. And it also offers you a lot
of point-and-shoot convenience,
so it's a great kinda hybrid of a lot of different ideas. So what we set out to
do is create some new accessories for it
to make your stuff even more pro and maybe help you have a little more fun along the
way.
All right, let's take a look:
First of all we've got this lens hood, it's kind of a Leica-style lens hood,
it just goes on with a simple twist, and here's the thing, it's made
out of metal. So it can help protect your camera,
protect your front lens, and, of course, keep stray light from floating in.
And it looks kinda cool 'cause it looks like a Leica camera.
We've also got these shutter buttons, and these just screw in to the
original RX1 shutter
and it makes it easier to hit, you can hit it from further away.
We call it our soft-touch button. And then we've got a grip,
I mean, one of the things is this has such a slim profile, sometimes you
don't have a perfect grip on what you need.
So this all-metal grip screws into the
tripod mount right there, and you get a second tripod mount to replace it.
All metal but it still gives you access to the memory card and the battery,
and it gives you this extra little bit of room, little bit of real estate to fit your
fingers,
so when you're taking pictures or you're taking videos they're going to be a little bit steadier,
a little more pro. And you can get these accessories separately
or as a kid at a bundle price from Fotodioxpro.com
Okay, that's the Sony RX1
and the cool new stuff we offer for it here at Fotodiox. Tell us what you'd like to
see in the next episode of FDXtra.
Have you seen some special effect or some photographic thing that you'd like us to
explain?
How about more hands-on demos of new products that you've never seen before?
We've got it all here at FDXtra and we'd like you to be a part of it!
So jot a couple notes down below, let us know how we're doing,
and also don't forget to hit subscribe because we've got more of these videos
coming your way
and we'd like you to see 'em. My name's Bohus, thanks for watching.
