Hello MEOW friends!
My name is Agata, but you can know me as Qrkoko.
And in this beading tutorial I'll teach you how to make twisted herringbone rope (stitch) for 2 beads (also known as spiral twisted herringbone stitch).
It's really easy to make and it's look really cute.
For example you can use it in necklaces!
So before we go to the materials, remember to subscribe this channel and give this tutorial a big thumbs up!
So let's go!
It's look pretty, right?
So in this tutorial I'll show you how to make this rope...
actually this rope, with the tohos.
But if you want, later I can teach you how to make this stars, using superduo beads.
But today we'll learn how to make the twisted herringbone rope.
It's actually really, really easy.
I repeat this constantly in all of my tutorials in english and in polish.
But it is! I don't want lie to you just to look like I'm a "pro beader".
So maybe we just start. How do you think?
So materials in this kind of rope are up to you, what do you want to use.
I'll using TOHO size 11/0, because I really like them and for me them look the best.
You need to remember that the beads that you'll using need to be equal to each other.
So one of them can't be higher or cracked. It need to be equal.
Of course later you can mix them.
But when you start to learn it's much easier with equal beads.
And I'll using two colors because it's easier to me to teach you in two colors.
And of course you will need some clear cord. I'll using this in size 0,20 mm.
And of course some beading needle, I using the "big eye" one, because I'm lazy.
And we can just start!
We just start with 4 beads.
And I pick up 2 pink and 2 it's actually more purple then blue, but in camera it's look like blue.
And I slide them to the end of my thread and sew them one more time.
My thread is up here, so I sew through the pink one in the back of the beads.
So when I have this and I'm in the blue one again, I sew them one more time.
But only 2 of the pink one.
So it supposed to look like this.
And it doesn't matter if you sewing them from the right to the left or from the left to the right.
It's actually important to sew them in one direction all the time.
If you change the direction in the middle of the rope you just turn the "twist" of the rope.
So now we are going to sew from the right to the left.
So now I just pick 2 of my beads: 1 pink and 1 this blue/purple.
And I'm up here.
I have 2 of those and I sew through one of the blue.
And if I want to my rope to be twisted I need to sew through the pink one from the bottom.
Not the pink one that is next to the blue one, but this one here, the lower one.
And I repeat this one again.
So I just put 2 of the beads: pink and blue.
So I have 2.
I sew through the 1 from the left column.
And I'm going back through the pink beads just sewing through the lower one.
And actually this is it.
This is all.
We just repeat this constantly.
So I just make more of the rope.
So I just make more of the rows and now you can see the twist of the beads.
So now I just repeat the steps one more time.
I'm in the pink one, in this bead.
I pick up 2 of my beads.
I'm in the pink but I want to be in the blue one.
I sew them from the up to the down.
And now I need to be in the pink one again.
But not this pink one, next to the blue, in the same row.
I need to sew the lower one, so I sew back from the third one: from down to the up.
Like this.
So one more time.
Now you are talking.
2 beads.
Sew through the 1 and back through the 3 of the beads.
And this is all!
You need to be really focus to not tie a knot or something.
But actually this is all so I just go back to my silver rope.
So this is how the basic twisted herringbone stitch look like.
And we just make the "2 beads" rope.
I thing it's calling something like this.
In polish I'll say that this is a twisted herringbone...
eee...
"rope" in polish is...
e... ... ...
"sznur"!
So in polish I'll call this "sznur twisted herringbone na dwa koraliki w rzędzie", so it's a "twisted herringbone rope, using two beads".
And I show you this spot earlier in the tutorial.
But I just change the toho beads to the Fire Polished beads.
And I using 2 mm, in next row 3mm, in next 4 mm and back: 3mm, 2 mm and tohos* again.
And I finish this in really simple way.
I just sew the endings.
It's "łańcuch" in polish (and "chain" in english. Focus Qrkoko!).
So I sew this kind of stuff here and that kind of stuff there.
So my necklace look like this.
And rope look like this.
And if you want to you can make this in one color, you can make this in two colors.
You can make anything you want!
This is actually the beauty of the beading :)
As you can see, twisted herringbone rope is really easy to sew.
