Today we will prepare sonth.
Sonth is served with dahi vada or any chaat dishes.
We can also serve sonth with kachoris, samosas and pakodas.
Sonth is prepared from the dried mango slices and they are tasty too.
So today let's prepare sonth.
For sonth, take 100 gms of dried mango pieces.
Take 250 gms ( 1/4 cups) of sugar and 10 date palms.
If you do not have fresh date palms then you can have dry date palms.
Soak the dry date palms in water for 5-6 hours prior to preparation.
2 tbsp raisins.
6 small pieces of cardamom
1/2 tsp red chilly powder.
1 tsp cumin powder.
2 tsp garam masala powder
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp black salt
1 tsp ginger powder
To make sonth we first take dried mango slices and soak it in water for 5 -6 hours.
Wash the dried mango slices thoroughly in a bowl full of water.
We already have soaked dried mango slices.Now we will boil this mango slices.
Use a steel utensil to boil the mango slices along with the water.
Turn on the flame.
To boil the mango pieces we will add one cup of water so that the mango pieces are fully covered with water.
