Hi, it’s Steve from PartSelect. Today we’re going to show you how to change the trim ring
on your stove. It’s a really easy job; no tools required. Let me show you how we do
it.
Now the first thing we should before we begin this repair is to make sure that the element
is turned off and it’s cool to the touch.
Next we’ll just lift up on the backside of the element, pull it out of its terminal
block. And at this point it would be a good time to look at the terminals on the end of
the element; make sure that they’re not corroded or show any signs of arching.
Now with the element out you just lift up on the old trim ring.
Drop the new one in place, make sure that it sits firmly on the top, slide our element
back into position, make sure it sits firmly.
As a not these are relatively easy to clean you can just toss them in the sink and wash
them by hand or you can even put them in your dishwasher to prolong the life of them.
And our repair is complete.
Told you it was an easy job. Thanks for watching, and good luck with your repair.
