Hi, I'm Jayne from Craft Dragon.
Welcome to this short video showing you how to use our distinctive multi-layer stamps.
Now you can build layer and texture into your ink stamping using the unique Nexus Stamping
range in combination with the Flexi-Press module from Craft Dragon, the first machine
of its kind in the world.
Firstly, take the stamps you have chosen. In this case, the seahorse.
Remove the first layer stamp from the sheet. We recommend the outline layer to help with
positioning subsequent layers.
You can place this stamp directly onto the paper where you would like it, or apply it
directly to the Flexi-Bloc as shown.
Use an ink that will show through subsequent layers, and dab upwards to cover all the stamp.
Bring the stamp down to the paper, and you have your first layer image.
Don't forget to hold the paper down with the positioning mat.
Clean and remove the stamp, and return it to the sheet.
Remove the next layer stamp.
Position it over the stamped image on the paper, then pick it up with the Flexi-Bloc.
To apply an all over colour as a base for subsequent layers, use the plain silhouette
stamp and apply your chosen colour, and print.
Follow the same procedure with a texture layer stamp applying layers of colour until you
achieve the result you want.
With the right combination of inks and stamps, you can produce beautiful, watercolour type
effects.
You can use the stamps on their own or together to give you flexibility and variety.
It doesn't matter if you smudge ink onto the Flexi-Bloc. Because the block is completely
level, only the ink on the stamp will be transferred to the paper.
For this image I have used multiple pigment inks for a more subtle finish. But you can
experiment with different inks, glues and embossing powders for even more unique and
stunning effects.
And here you are. Just one sample of the unlimited designs and effects you can achieve.
The only limit is your own imagination.
