Hello i'm jane standing. it's the 13th of august 2012 and in two weeks time
myself and a great colleague and friend and super fine art photorgrapher will be setting
off from Brixton to Huddersfield, as part of the rwethereyet walk. For me the walks
about three things. the first is that when an idea feels
instinctively great, you don't have to fully understand something to committ to it, and
help to make it happen. and i think the second thing is about comitting to something that
is going to be quite hard and drawn out and possibly quite painful, and seeing it through
till the end, and that's a bit of a metaphor for the kind of work that we do. and the third
thing is about friendship and the importance of friendship in families, in home, in work,
in love
i think you can't beat a good friendship for helping you be the best that you can be. Oh
and the last thing that it's abuot is that now that i've realised how hard it's going
to be and how long it's going to take, the last thing is about raising money, and using
this walk and all of the metaphors that are wrapped up in it, to raise money for really
amazing causes, and to raise money for Kairos in Soho, the best charity ever, and to raise
funds for 'Fierce' which is Ajamu's 2013 exhibition at the Guildhall Art Gallery. So please make
a give.
Thank you.
Feel the force.
