Welcome to a March of Dimes Minute.
Did you know that you can apply for ODSP benefits in two different ways?
The first way is 'in person'.
What a person would do is arrange an appointment with an ODSP intake worker,
at which point they would discuss and examine your personal information.
Things like your Date of Birth, your address, your Social Insurance Number, phone numbers and so on.
Then they would examine your assets,
they would look at whether or not you qualify from a liquid assets perspective
and what other assets you own.
In addition to that, they would then examine your income,
and determine again whether or not you qualify for benefits based on your income level.
Once all these things have been passed, then they will provide you with a medical package,
that is to be taken to your physician.
When the information is all processed by the ODSP
then, if you pass, you will start to receive your benefits and your check on a monthly basis.
And this has been a March of Dimes Minute.
