Hi everyone! And yes we're back on FFXIV again!
In the new Raids called Cutter's Cry, it's probably not the hardest Raids made by Square-Enix
We're in a cave full of Antlion, it's a maze
At the entrance is some kind of white light, it'll complete a quest given to us at Uldah
After that, we'll have to move forward to the first room, then
We'll have to kill all monster we can find, after that thing get a little more complicated
Once they're dead, there's wont be one teleporter but 2 that will appear
We'll need to split into 2 groups, each will be teleporter in another room
The only way to get to the next room, is to kill all monster of the room but one Antlion
For the last one, we'll need both groupe to kill their own last Antlion at the same time
During that, we can also get hit by attack coming from the ground, it's Either damage attack
And we can even get teleported back at the entrance
Thanksfully, the teleporter we find in the first room is always leading to the last room visited
In the next room, nothing complicated, we just need to kill all monster in order to move forward
Next teleporter goes to a tunnel, where 3 room are connected, the right one is the one on the south
Once again, many monsters really easy to kill, to make a teleporter appear in the center of the room
After that's we'll get to another tunnel where we can find both Coffer, and also box for the Artefact Armors Quest for a few jobs
All we need to do now is go West, to get in the first boss room
the first boss is called Myrmidon Princess, it's an Antlion boss
The thing about this boss is he'll keep calling many small antlion during the battle
They aren't strong but they're many
It's the Black Mage Jobs to get rid of them, since they die after a few AoE Elemental Spell
These Antlion should appear every 45 secondes after the we Aggro'd the boss
A few secondes after Antlion has appear, the boss will call another Antlion called Antlion Guard
This one is alone, but it's a little stronger than small one
But all the fight will depend on it, as it has the ability to heal the boss, he can make the fight last much longer
That's why we need to kill him as fast as we can, before he can heal him
The boss can also call during the battle an Antlion called Antlion Marshall, it's way stronger than the 2 other kind of Antlion the boss is calling
To make him pop, we have to do enough damage to the boss before we killed the 2nd Antlion Guard
If the Marshall is killed after the death of the boss, another coffer will appear at the end of the Raids
But it'll also make the fight much harder since we'll need to kill the boss while keeping the Marshall alive
The Marshall can hit as strong as the boss does, so it's hard to tank both of them, and killing him before the boss does nothing
i'll let you watch the end of this battle in peace, and i'll be back right after that!
Once the boss is dead, A coffer will pop in the area with a teleporter that lead to the next room
After taking this teleporter, we'll be on a new Maps
Our next target is the room just next to us
This is where we have to kill a Pampa, to activate the teleporter at the North West of the area, we'll also need to kill mobs who aggro'd on the way
In the next room, we're again in a room with lot of enemy, however this time they're stronger than the one we saw before
Once they're all dead, 2 teleporter will appears, the one at the North lead to a Coffer, the South one lead to the next maps of the raids
This maps is actually the last one of the dungeons before the boss, first we can get a Coffer by going south
then we'll just have to follow the way to the teleporter, this time no need to do anything, it's already activated
The boss is called Chimera, it's a old boss from Final Fantasy, in Final Fantasy XI it was nammed Khimaira
I'll probably do soon a video about it from ZNM in Final Fantasy XI
Unlike what we could think , it's not really that strong, to be totally honest
I think the first boss we fought earlier, the Antlion, was actually harder than him
Jobs that can do damage from distance like Archer, Bard or Black Mage, work really well in this fight
But it's of course possible to fight him with normal melee
The first think you should look at is the position we are on the maps, Chimera can use a AoE really powerful
It's an Thunder AoE, it does a lot of damage, but it wont be able to hit us where we stand
We also used 3 White Mage, Chimera is hitting hard with his attack
It can hit up to 1000 damage per attack, and some of his ability can do 2000 Damage points
And some of his attack has additionnal debuffs effect such as Poison or Paralyze
They can only be removed by the Magic Esuna from the White Mage
During the battle, Chimera will call Antlion that'll attack us like the first boss
Once again it's the Black Mage Duty to get rid of them
But thanksfully this time no Antlion Guard or Marshall
Chimera can also use a AoE that'll hit everyone with a Draw In effect
it'll make everyone move on him
And we can get in trouble then because we wont be able to avoid his AoE Thunder when he does
Since the last update, it's not possible to use Magic while moving
They interrupted just like in Final Fantasy XI, all magics being used during the Draw In will be cancel
That's pretty much all about this raids, Probably not the best one made so far but still really great!
As for the Dificulty level, it's a little under old High Level Fight, but it's still a little challange
One of the bad thing we could say about it, and lot of people does actually, the fight are a little too static
Unlike previous fight like Ifrit, where we were asked to move a lot
But it's still a nice raids, good to prepare us for the 2nd raids which seems a little more dificult than this one
I hope you liked this video and if you wanted to try this raids, i hope it'll help you!
