Hi guys! Welcome back to the channel it's Claire and Rags and this week we
are going to be talking about how your cat tells you that they love you now
when you think of cats not met a lot of people who will automatically think
affectionate but cats are very loving pets to have and we show our love to
them with showering them with treats and attention and toys and fussing and
grooming them but did you know that your cat also lets you know how they feel
about you two we are going to share with you five ways that your cat tells you
that they love you now the first one is head butting now off the bat that
doesn't actually sound making a very affectionate thing at all but in the cat
world it is a very sweet gesture when your cat headbuts you if they greet
you this is what they do with other cats they have scent glands on their faces so
when they headbut you and boop you with they're little noses they are
putting their scent on you and basically saying you are my human and I love you
The second one is staring and blinking at you. Now this is the best one for us
because this is the easiest way that we can reciprocate so this gesture if you
notice your cat staring at you and then slowly blinking at you that is them
basically saying I love and trust you if you do it back to them so stare into
their eyes and then slowly blink back you are telling them that the feeling is
mutual which is lovely, isn't it? I like to think of it as a little kind of kitty kiss
Third one is raising and curving their tail! Now did you know that cats use
their tails to communicate more than their meowing or their purring
no it's very interesting, isn't it? If you notice your cat greeting you and raising their
tail and giving it a bit of a wiggle that is them basically giving you a nice
friendly wave hello a little curve or a sugar of the tail as they raise it it's
letting you know that they are happy to see you
Fourth one is grooming you! Well not all cats do this this isn't something that
Ragsy particularly does but if your cat takes upon themselves to give you a
bit of a groom then you're very very lucky! Cats groom one another when they
are in their family units so mother cats will groom at their kittens and cats all
groom one another as a sign of affection and a sign of contentment so if your cat
takes it upon themselves occasionally to give you one a once-over with their
tongue well they either don't like your hairdo or they're telling you that they love
you and the last one is showing you their belly. Now if your cat rolls over
and shows you their fuzzy little belly obviously most of us can't resist a good
old scratch. So go ahead if your cat doesn't mind
that obviously but this is the ultimate sign of trust that your cat can show you
so it is a big deal so when your cat rolls over on their belly not only are
they saying that they are comfortable around you and they trust you but
they're also very very happy to be vulnerable in your home basically saying
to you that I trust you I know that you can protect me and I love you basically
which i think is always such a really sweet thing it's one of my favorite
things for cats to show that they love you because being vulnerable is for a
cat at least is a really big deal so if they're happy to let you give them
a bit of a tummy scratch then everyone's happy!
