On behalf of Expert Village I'm Nicole. This here is where I keep my breeding pair of ball
pythons. I got the jungle earth on the bottom of this as well. I also got some moss that
I got from the local pet store, it's sterilized and it's perfectly safe to put in there. It
holds a lot of moisture for the animal. These snakes are in a 55 gallon critter cage and
it also has a slideable latchable lid and it's very convenient to keep animals and kids
out of. I also got the artificial plants in there to mimick their natural environment,
I got my own decor in there simply for enjoyment to make the terrarium look nice. They got
their water dish that is a natural stone water dish that is made by a company that most pet
stores carry. They make specific reptile supplies that are wonderful for setting up your terrariums.
It's big enough for the snake to be able to sit in although these snakes are quiet large
now. They will still be able to submerge them at least the good part of the body in this
water dish. Since this is a breeding pair, I had to improvise my shelter here because
they like to lay together. They are both going to want to be using the same shelter and not
many stores carry a shelter large enough to do that. So what I did was went to the local
department store and picked up this plastic box and cut the hole out of it. Now they are
both able to lay in there comfortable and it's still easy for me to access the snakes.
I also got temperature gage back there in back of the cage which I use to regulate their
temperatures. I also got the humidity gage back there so I know how humid it is and how
often I have to mist it. These snakes only have the day time bulb on here I'm not providing
them with a night time heat source right now. I'm mimicking the winter season because they
are a breeding pair and this will get them ready to breed when it's time warming up again.
