Stage Three
Through The Strait of Magellan
and Beagle Channel by kayak.
Two kayakers joined me on my way
to cross the mountains with me.
We did together some part of the way.
OK, Antek! How is it going?!
Crazy, crazy!
We are drying our gear.
And here we are waitting for better weather.
And what's it like outside?
Here we have a path
The boys have hacked the bushes so we can step outside
This is how the sea looks now.
We now know we'll spend the night here
because ways are big all the time.
So we are making ourselves comfortable here.
We are cooking dinner at the moment
to go sleep earlier.
and to wake up very early in the morning and wait for good weather.
If it's bad, we'll keep waiting.
It's raining...
and it is cold and very bad!
And speedy Lopez is going to the end of the world.
And the little ting there is Polaco Loco.
It was raining almost all the time.
Sometimes a few days and nights non-stop.
The temperature of air and water was slightly above zero Celsius.
We were kayaking for 8-10 hours a day.
Our speed depended on the wind
and was from 2 to 10 km/h.
How have you been doing, Polaco?!
It is crazy!
To the right!
We are sailing...
6 km/h.
And where are we?
Somewhere in the Strait of Magellan.
We had to cross Cordillera Darwin.
It took us 5 days to cross the Cordillera.
Punta Arenas - Puerto Williams - 500km.
