This is episode 4 of L!STEN
and hope you know who I am by now...
...or not
I mean, it's only episode 4 so you probably don't know.
I'm JOON(etry), and you are now watching L!STEN on YouTube!
(YEEAAAAAAAHH!)
A lot of things happened this week.
Kanye West - "Yeezus," J. Cole - "Born Sinner"
Jay-Z announcing his new album dropping on July
Joeybada$$ premier of one of his new tracks produced by MF Doom
at NXNE Festival in Toronto
Statik Selektah - "Extended Play"
Mac Miller - "Watching Movies with the Sound Off"
Wale - "The Gifted," and many more!
(Breathing)
The music scene is boiling hot with a lot of talk about
the new albums by Kanye & J. Cole since these two
are one of the most anticipated albums to drop this month
and that is why I refuse to talk about them.
Also, I just got Daft Punk's "Random Access Memories" a few days ago.
So I didn't really get a chance to listen to most of the new albums.
I did listen to "Yeezus" and "Born Sinner"
but only once while I was doing other things
...so that doesn't count.
I believe that I'm not qualified
to say anything about these two albums yet.
However...
I felt like it was really appropriate
to have those two albums released at the same date
although "Yeezus" was leaked a few days before June 18th.
Kanye West puts together very interesting sounds and beats
which again seem to prove that
he goes far ahead from anyone in the HipHop scene right now.
I don't know if it's just me
or it happens to everyone who listens to each album by Kanye West.
But every first time, I listen to any of his albums
it really baffles me.
I cannot tell myself whether I really like his album or not
and to figure that out
I listen to his album over and over again
and then finally reach this point
where I have listened to the album
probably about a hundred times
and I cannot even tell whether I sincerely love this album
or simply came to accept myself that I like the album.
Nah, I'm not high or drunk
but I don't even know what the f**k I'm talking about.
And that's what Kanye's album
makes me feel like all the times!
IT'S F**KING WITH MY MIND, AAAHHHHHHH!
...and I LOVE IT!
(YEEAAAAAAAHH!)
J. Cole really brings out his consciousness
and talks about who he is
through his lyrics in "Born Sinner."
I wasn't so hyper or going crazy
while I was listening to the album.
But I really enjoyed that moment
when I was just laid-back and listening to it
while sipping my hot tea.
I don't know exactly what it is
but I was f**king COOL and CALM...
like I was having my Zen moment
...and I LOVE IT!
(YEEAAAAAAAHH!)
So I enjoyed this crazy excitement
and had my mind blown away listening to "Yeezus"
and then put back my mind together
and immersed into serenity
as I began listening to "Born Sinner."
It was like taking a refreshing shower after a good sex...
(YEEAAAAAAAHH!)
Well, you know what?
Why don't you just go and get both of the albums
and check them out by yourself?
After that...
let me know what you think about "Yeezus" and "Born Sinner"
on the comment section below...
And don't forget to check out
the 8tracks.com mixtape for this episode as well!
Now, I'm going to listen to more
Daft Punk's "Random Access Memories."
(Playing Daft Punk - Give Life Back To Music)
...Wait, all you basically talked about is Kanye and J. Cole.
You said you were not going to talk about them in the beginning.
What the f**k?
GOTCHA B**CH!
Nah, I'm just messing with you all.
Of course, I'm not going to end it like this...
NOT!
