My names Danny Hopkins and I'm the Editor of Practical Classics magazine which is
britain's biggest-selling classic car magazine
As it says on the front of every mag we're all about buying, restoring and enjoying older
cars and
most of what we do
is done down here at Barnac
Practical Classics very own workshop
we'll take you through some of the projects we've got ongoing
some of the future projects we've got coming in
and some of our own cars that we work on down here
hopefully
impart a little bit of expertise but more importantly show some of what
we enjoy doing which is basically
working on an improving older cars and I'll start here with my two Jenson
Interceptors
which will be my projects for the next two, three, four maybe even five years
depending on how quickly I get on with it
this car on my left is a Interceptor II
nineteen seventy-two vehicle
it's a good shell, which I bought for a thousand pounds
was left in the corner of a workshop when the guy who was having it restored
didn't pay his bill
and after about six years the guys who owned the workshop decided to get rid of it
and they got rid of it in my direction, which is good for me
This Interceptor on my right is an Interceptor III, which is probably the rustiest car
I've ever bought in my life but I bought it as a spares vehicle for this one and that
basically means i will be using the parts from this car to restore this one
making too bad cars come into one good car
The Interceptor III is now stripped of all the useful parts so
hopefully it will help another Interceptor live
so i think the best thing that we can do now is to go and have a look around the workshop
see what projects we've got in, see what we're getting up to
and
have a cup of tea
