All right guys. In this video we are going to be talking about good nutrition exercise.
It is the part of the memory and the brain that I overlooked for a really long time.
I was just hard core about, here is the filing system, you have touched up in the picture
you see action, emotion. I have totally overlooked good nutrition and exercise and may be part
of that was because the first 10 years I was in this businesses I was I was I my 20s and
good nutrition and exercise wasn't as important. As I got older my body started slowing down
and as it started slowing down I had to work harder to keep my body in shape but the theory
is that if your body is in shape your brain is in shape. If you've got good circulation,
good blood flow, more oxygen is going into your brain and that is going to keep your
brain more alert and alive and that is what [inaudible 0:00:55.4]. Really that just kind
of increases your blood circulation. So there is some truth to good nutrition exercise,
there are brain foods, there are foods you should avoid and there are foods that you
should eat to help your memory. One good thing for your memory is that it is water drinking,
plenty of water. If you have a dehydrated brain you are going to have a brain that is
not able to focus. When I was training for the 2009 USA memory championship I lost 20
pounds. People were like dude are you training for a memory tournament or a marathon and
I say it is a memory tournament but the better fit your body is the better fit your brain
is. I lost 20 pound, I won and I became king of the nerds. 2010 the next year training
for that tournament I lost another 20 pounds. People were like man that is amazing. You
lost 40 pounds in a year? I didn't it was the same 20 pounds. I was celebrating a lot
and I gained it back. But I am serious about it now, I do not eat sweets, I have cut everything
out. I am very strict on diet and I only eat stuff that is going to help my brain. I totally
ignore any thing else if it is not. I eat apples and how about them apples? Apples are
good for your memory. I was on a show with this doctor. You may know him and let us see
what he and I talked about as far as foods that are good for your memory. While you all
watch that. So watch this video.
All right guys. I can't show you that footage because I don't own the rights to. So I can't
show it here on YouTube. So let me just give you a few good things that we talked about.
Great brain foods are apples. You have heard and apple a day keeps the doctor away. It
is going to help your brain and help your ability to focus. Omega3, fish oil pills are
great for your memory. I am allergic to fish, so I take the Omega-3 oil pills. But may be
eating a lot of fish is also good for you. Pumpkin seeds re good. You even get the pumpkin
seed oil. So it is more of a concentrate, you don't have to eat the whole bowlful of
pumpkin seeds. Blueberries are great for your memory. What we talked about in that show
was getting blueberry concentrate. Go to Google and type in blueberry concentrate, that way
you don't have to eat a thousand blueberries a day. I am a big fan of curd. I became a
big fan of it a few years ago and I love how it tastes. Lucky for me curd has [inaudible
0:03:16.7] in it and _______ is good for your memory. Walnuts, that is good for your memory.
Drinking plenty of water. A dehydrated brain is an unhealthy brain. Red [inaudible 0:03:29.3]
are good for your memory. Onions are good for your memory. So these are some great brain
foods. Remember what you put into your body does matter and it does affect your brain.
So those are some brain foods. Now I will skip back to our regularly scheduled program.
What the heck, I will show you a SHORT clip from show but don't tell any one I showed
What you may not know is that apples are actually good for your memory. When ever we age the
neurotransmitters in our brain will tend to decline. Well apples have something called
acetylcholine and acetylcholine is going to help to protect against those neurotransmitters
[inaudible 0:04:03.4] and it is also going to help protect against things like alzheimers.
So these are easy things you can get.
We are currently experiencing technical difficulties.

Ok. So good nutrition, exercise. It is going to make an impact on your memory. I would
encourage you just to drink some water, go for a walk. If you get that blood flow to
your body, the cardiovascular exercise is going to help you, go ride a bicycle. But
the important thing is like me you always want to be healthy. And if you want it mix
that good exercise too and avoid things that are bad for your memory. You don't want things
that have a lot of sugar in them, you don't want a lot of things that have over carbs.
Low corn is good, don't do no carb, your brain does need some carbs. But bottom-line. We
talked today about how good nutrition and exercise helps your memory. It is something
I think seriously and I hope that you do as well.
I will see you on the next video.
