Growing up we were looking at mountain biking from the other side
After many years of hard work as riders, builders and filmmakers
we've worked our way into a position where we can express mountain biking
the way we see it.
We found this field kind of out in the back country and uh
It's a little change of zone. It's like being on Jurassic Park out here
all the stumps are huge, all the rocks are huge, the terrains huge
Steve, can't beat it.

Might be just chilling for today. Oh no.
Came in, overshot that. Getting ready to make this turn because
I blew a foot off and then I just came over this.
It feels like *** moving around. Definitely impacted it and was like
It's not often that you find a unique zone like this with such natural
terrain that you can basically ride from top to bottom however you want

Got this project in Brandon's yard that we've been building
basically training ground slope style and we've been working on it for
about the last month.
It's been a bit of a long process with not a whole lot of visible
progress being done. Due to a lot of factors like *** weather
It's just been a slow process but soon enough it will be done and
we'll be riding it before we know and it will be wicked.
Committing to this project is basically a pretty huge ordeal.
Finding the property, the perfect dirt, the perfect place, like
somewhere where I can have all the resources I need
Basically to do what I want to do everyday and thats ride my bike
and now that I have this yard, I can ride anything I want.
It's like a total dream.

Crankworx is one of the biggest events for us during the year.
It's our Olympics, it's our XGames. So going into it
it's definitely one event that I, I want to get a top spot
To get your run and then have it hold against everyone else
is definitely the challenge.

We just made a mad dash to the ferry. Penned it here after we
loaded everything up and we made it and now we're going to make
the long drive up to the middle of BC.
Get some sweet stuff from my hometown.

Super lucky when I was riding here back in the day
to have all these cool zones to build in. They're all on the outskirts
of town and we're up here now like four or five years later
everything's changing. It's fun to just come back and ride something
that's old and make it new again. Drop in.

Just wrapped up a session and going to go scope out the train gap.
I think today is the day so, go up there and we're all ready to go so
Test it out and then wait for a train. Take a few hours maybe
a few minutes, who knows. We'll see.
Prince George is a very industrial town and I grew up seeing mills
and trains and logging trucks and one thing I've always wanted to do is
jump a moving train and I've been looking at it for quite a few years
and waiting for the right moment to do it and now it's finally come.
Pretty much just have to hit it.
That's what we hoped for, clear the gap, hop the tranny and uh
no slower than that, that's for sure.

We're here in Spence's Bridge. Kind of an area that a lot of the old dogs
came to and it's cool to come back to a place like this.
Shred some original back country mountain bike lines. It's pretty fun.

We're out in Savona shredding some moto hill climbs.
♪

It's good to come back and ride the original things that you know got you
super stoked in the first place.
♪
Well, I was able to hold on to that last one.
Just because I really wanted it.
One of those injuries that never go away. It sucks.
So frustrating. Especially now that the lights just firing right now.

Mike and Curtis are on their way out to hopefully guinea pig this guy.
You've got to pedal.
Right before this there was probaly like five minutes of just quiet.
Just no one saying anything, just, I think somethings going to go on.

Pop back in ***. Probably the craziest crash I've ever seen
on a bike. On impact, shoulder dislocated, blew off the bars,
double tomahawk, scorpioned down into there.
Get him checked out, and hopefully he's going to be all good.
He's walking but scary moment for sure.

Yeah. That was sick. Way to crank out.
So different the Shuswap area because it gets a lot of rain compared to the
like the desert where I'm from and so it's a really new experience to be
riding out here and building and everything.
This area is going to be a lot less amazing when all these big trees
are gone. As we're walking around building all we see is tape
marking out cut blocks and skid trails and everything so.
It kind of sucks because it's not going to be like this forever.

We're back, we're out of the bush now we're down in the lake.
And we're now accessing the trails from the lake.
And we have this insane boat and we're living on the boat and riding.
And it's out of control man, it's so awesome.

Hanging out with a bunch of guys my age that ride bikes at same level
Pretty sweet. That makes it easy for sure.
It is so sick watching Stevie ride. There isn't really anyone else
that I can watch ride a bike that is so in control over the faster stuff.
And it is blowing all of our minds.

I've known Kenny since we grew up riding together.
Kenny and I have been talking about train gaps for probably over
the past ten years, easy. That's been on his hit list for a long time.
Kenny's got the ultimate train gap right here.
Forty across, forty feet and three inches.
And like eleven feet down.
I think there's enough speed for it.
Pretty nervous. Just trying to stay focused here.
Think about the landing.

Norbs and I built this thing about eight years ago.
This thing is still sick so we're going to shoot it here today.
We've got to nail this one down.

We're up in a zone up above Squamish. Over the years we've spent a lot of
time watching all sorts of videos of this spot and wondering where it is.
We figured it out, we found it and we're up here.
Putting our mark on some of the old lines that inspired us as kids.
When I think of this zone and the riding up here that's been done
there's one rider that comes to mind and that's Thomas.
He's the one who's inspired us the most. To be up here riding with
Thomas is a pretty sick opportunity

We got a storm coming in so we're trying to hustle.
Before we get rained on.
This zone's only open for maybe a month a year, depending. This year
we're kind of waiting for the snow to melt just before the snow falls again
And right now, it sort of feels like the snow's going to fall again on us
any second.

This is the area we built the first ever jump up here.
And we thought it would be cool to rebuild it to modern day standards.

We've been influenced by the pioneers of our sport.
As a product of free ride, we feel it is our job to express mountain biking
from the inside out.

We just had a little session down at the rail yard.
Pretty soon we're going to go jump a train.
After those guys just hooked us up with a bunch of sweet shots.
So nice of them.
