I think what's critical about NYU-ePoly's approach
is its dedication of its staff, as well as the
significance of its faculty to provide students
and our clients with the best that there is in Science, Engineering and Technology Management.
Our students are professionals geographically disperse.
The e-platform allows us the ability
to bring that higher level learning to their home.
Our program maintains the same quality of the classes that are on campus.
Our aim is to create a three-pronged approach which is
to have online courses that are diverse, interactive and ever-evolving.
Diversity meaning that there is a lot of different kinds of technology
brought into it; interactivity meaning we do not want passive learning we want active learning;
an ever-evolving means that we are constantly looking for new technologies new approaches.
It's just the same world-class education with a lot more flexibility.
We can set up live sessions where I can pull out my writing tablet, I can
write things down for them, they can see it, we're all together, they can ask questions.
I usually can't make the live online lecture time so it's very convenient
for me to rewatch lectures on my own time.
For them, the opportunity is to bring
their real-life work experiences into the classroom for analysis,
discussion and dialogue.
Online you get to know everyone of your classmates. You just don't sit back and
listen to lectures;
you must interact with your students. Peer to peer learning,
interactivity is a key to online learning
especially at NYU-ePoly.
Then, you hear from the students that actually achieve what they set out to do, they get professional growth,
they advance in their careers. Seen these successes
really is an accomplishment not just for them
but for us as well because we see that success is our own.
I'm Lorna, I'm an ePoly student and proud of it.
