Hello my friends and welcome to another Tuesday of tutorial!
I am Leonardo Pereznieto and today we will draw fish.
Let´s start by sketching the general outline,
this is a very simple shape.
I´ll draw two fish going in a circular form.
Something like this, the body and the tails.
Then we can go over the line darker and start
doing some detail.
I don´t like this one I am going to erase it, sorry.
The fish itself was ok, what I didn´t like was the overall shape that was creating
with the other one.
I want them more like forming a circle.
This is better, much better!
I´m happy now!
Let´s do the fins on top and on the sides.
I lighten the pencil marks a little bit with the eraser
to then start coloring!
The head itself is pretty smooth I´ll do it with an orange color,
and then the top, the lights with an amber.
And some shadow tones with a blue.
Some black for the eyes and let´s design some scales
with magenta.
You don´t need to perfectly draw every scale, I think
if you do that, the fish will end up looking pretty stiff.
Just draw some scales and then suggest other ones,
and the mind will automatically fill in the blanks.
Make the mind of your public work for you! [laughs].
You may keep using these colors or adding colors if you like,
use the white one for highlights.
The list of materials is in the information bellow the video.
The colors on this fish may very a lot, in this case
I will do the fins from an orange to a white.
Nice! I LOVE doing this!
Let´s draw the other fins and the tail in the same fashion.
Let´s lighten the pencil on the other one as well
because if you put the color on top of it, may look a little bit dirty.
We use the magenta again for some shadows and for the scales.
Some white reflections and then the orange.
This is really fun :)
I think this is the first time in my life that
I draw a fish, at least since I was a kid.
Very good! It’s coming along, it is important to use different tones
as you see.
Then the white tail... and let´s draw some shadows,
this creates an effect like they´re off the bottom.
Nice! The shadows can make a big difference in your drawings.
Very good! It does look different, doesn´t it?
The shadow is darker close to the fish and it goes a little bit lighter further away.
Excellent! If you enjoyed it please give it a LIKE,
share it to your friends and subscribe to this channel
and I will see you on Tuesday.
