Hey guys, this is Heather from healthyeatingstartshere.com. So, one of the most common questions that
I get from viewers, family and from friends is: What is the perfect healthy diet plan?
I have a tough time answering that question because to me, a perfect diet can be different
for different people.
Everyone is unique, everyone has different needs. So I get caught up in explaining how.
You know, you have to listen to your body and have to find your own path, and you can
get bogged down to a particular type of healthy diet plan. But, one thing that I sometimes
skip over in my way of explaining is that uniqueness is that you need to get your body
in balance before you can be able to tune in to those messages from your body.
If you’re out of balance, you might be getting mixed messages, you might be getting some
signals that you should be doing something or shouldn’t be doing something but that’s
not what’s actually healthy for you. It’s just a craving or addiction or something like
that.
What we need to do, before getting to the technical part in trying to find the perfect
healthy diet plan, is to correct your personal imbalances. There are certain body types - in
traditional Chinese medicine, they talk about yin and yang. People basically have different
levels of balance.
Same thing in inorganic medicine, they have the three doses, you can be one of three.
If you’re one of them and you get another balance, then you need to get back to the
balance before that type.
There is also a newer type of this idea. There is the metabolic typing, there is the looking
at blood typing, which I’m not so sure I like, but anyway, there is this idea that
people are having this different type of balance. But there is also the fact that if you get
out of balance from your particular “resting point”, then you need to get back into that
balance.
There are different ways that you can get out-of-balance. What you need to do is you
can find the diet that would correct that imbalance, and then from there you should
be able to move forward and find your own perfect diet. The tricky part is figuring
out what your balance is, and what your maintenance should be.
That can be tough, and I’m really excited because what I’ve been working on for the
past, for awhile now is something that I can use to help you guys figure that out, and
I’ll be posting some information about that for the next few weeks. But I just want to
quickly mention this idea of imbalances to you guys because, I think it’s very important
and it often gets overlooked when some people talked about nutrition.
You need to correct your own imbalances before you can find your own unique healthy diet
plan and figure out what works for you. I'll be posting more info in the coming weeks at
healthyeatingstartshere.com, so make sure you stay tuned.
What I want to know from you guys today is: what are some experiments that you have tried.
Phil and I are experimenting with raw food, with the green smoothie and other kinds of
cleansers, and all different kinds of stuff. What experiments have you tried, and what
have you learned about your body through doing them.
Let me know and leave me a comment.
