Hello, my name is Kareena and I am a second year Drama student. What I love most about
my course is the fact that it is balanced, it has a nice, even amount of theory and practical.
I chose to do Drama at Kingston University because, when I came to the Open Day, I loved
the atmosphere that I received from the university. I loved the building, the drama building and
I had a really good experience from the workshops that the Drama department had to offer. I
am a mature student, I have 2 children and I don't live on campus. So, I have a lot of
day-to-day issues with school run, trying to keep on top of travel; there are always
delays with trains, or so it seems. And, also, trying to get my assignments and studying
done in a good amount of time. The best thing I can advice is that you definitely plan ahead.
Planning, planning, planning, did I mention planning, is the key to success. So, if you
want to do well, I would definitely plan. I would say that being at Kingston University
has definitely made me more confident, it has made me feel like I am a lot smarter and
it has made me feel like I can near enough achieve anything, if I put my mind into it.
Thank you for listening! If you have any questions in regards to drama at Kingston University,
or just any general questions, or if you wanted to know anything about home life for a mature
student, who is also a parent, please don't hesitate to ask me.
