What's good. This is Fevir with some more Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn content.
In this video we'll be looking at the Pugilist class, specifically the Pugilist's abilities
and traits, as well as the Pugilist playstyle within Final Fantasy 14.
This class is all about beating things to death with your hands and feet.
Let me get something out right away since this may be a drawing point to a lot of players.
The Pugilist in Final Fantasy 14 is easily the highest skill cap'd class in regards to
perfect play. Read the abilities yourself- but the gist is that using abilities can put
you into different forms- abilities on forms will do unique effects while simutaneously
changing your form.
You have reactive abilities that are triggered after evades as well as abilities that will
help you evade- positional attacks and self buff cooldowns to manage. It's a little bit
of every playstle all wrapped in one.
While you can get away with just mashing buttons when you want- the true Pugilists are going
to be able to do some truly dirty things with their damage and crazy utility.
Now for traits, they are pretty boring- besides a trait that allows one of your self buffs
to stack, you're stuck with the same old increased strength and duration and potency traits...
yawn
Some interesting transferable skills are Haymaker- the attack that can only be used after an
evade, a 20% crit buff for 15 seconds and a 15% hp heal.
I feel as if this class will put a bunch of players off just with the sheer amount of
information on some of these abilities- but this is the class that will truly reward those
that master it. The Pugilist with enough experience becomes the Monk- Which I know is a favorite,
so putting the time in is definately warranted.
Peace.
