Disasters don’t affect just one person.
Disasters affect whole communities. As
a community, we need to join together
to be - a Force of Nature! April 22
marks the start of National Severe
Weather Preparedness Week and is the
perfect time to begin making your
preparedness plans – or to update your
current plans. Start by understanding
the specific risks that affect you
and your community. But it doesn’t
stop there. Take action by developing
an emergency plan and put together a
supply kit. Ready.gov has the
information you need to find out what
to do before, during and after storms
strike. Now that you are prepared,
be an example to others. Tell your
friends and neighbors about your
emergency plans. During times of
severe weather, make sure your
community is ready to be - a Force Of
Nature. Visit ready.gov/severeweather
to learn more.
