So when you are exercising exactly how many calories am I burning anyway and is it doing
any good? I'm Carol Ann with Studio Group X and we're going to talk about how many calories
you are burning during a push up. Well if you have ever been to a class or if you've
ever had a personal trainer they're always telling you to do pushups. Now why is that?
Well because fitness professionals know that push ups are very effective. They work your
pecs, your triceps, your biceps, your shoulders so it's a real quick effective way to burn
calories and to strengthen your upper body. So how many calories are you burning, well
if you are an average woman weighing about 135 pounds you're going to burn about 8 calories
in one minute. If you're a guy weighing about 190 pounds then you're going to burn 12 calories
in one minute so multiply that out and you could be pushing uping, push uping, push uping
for a long time, and you can burn a lot of calories. I'm Carol Ann with Studio Group
