York City in 1964. -The

the late Rocky H. Aoki
who created the concept
of entertaining customers
with chef theatrics,
juggling, and delicious
Japanese steakhouse fare.
-Over the past 50 years,
Benihana of Tokyo has
opened in 14 different
countries. - Benihana of
Tokyo is a Japanese
themed restaurant with 20
restaurants worldwide,
based out of New York,
NY. -After the
devastation of World War
II, Rocky Aoki's father
saw a red flower amid the
rubble of Tokyo, Japan.
Benihana, which means red
flower, symbolizes
strength and survival.
When did Benihana open at
the Hilton Hawaiian
Village? -Benihana opened
at Hilton Hawaiian
Village 43 years ago in
1971. -The Benihana
location is one of 20
restaurants and bars at
the 22-acre resort.
What are some of the

Anniversary? -During the
month of July, from
8:30-10 p.m. daily,
Benihana at Hilton
Hawaiian Village will
offer a Benihana
Anniversary Special. -The
special is a "Rocky's
Choice" consisting of a
steak and chicken combo

in Hawaii as part of
their world tour.
How did the Beni Girls
come to be? -The Beni
Girls are a hip- hop duo.
-Benihana of Tokyo
created the dance duo to
represent the
restaurant's beginnings
in New York City and
Benihana's orgonality and
groundbreaking style for
cooking and entertaining
customers. -Both hip hop
dance and Benihana were
created in New York, and
both are based on
performance and exciting
the crowd. When will the
Beni Girls be performing
in Hawaii? -The Beni
Girls will be performing
Monday through Friday,
July 14-19, 2014 -At 1
p.m. and 6 p.m. every day
this week they will be
performing at the Tapa
Bar -At 7:30 p.m. every
evening, they will be
performing in front of
Benihana
Beni Hana Chef Kevin
Achay will be
demonstrating how to flip
the shrimp tail into the
coat pocket of the Beni
Hana Chef uniform.
