Hi, I'm Lauren Roy from Sugar Hollow Farm in Phillipston, Mass. By the age of fifty,
most people should go and have a colonoscopy done to get a base line. It's good for your
health. But I'm going to show you some things that you can use to naturally cure constipation,
which is a lack of fluid in your body that makes your stools really hard. And hard to
pass. The first thing you need to do is make sure you always drink plenty of water, but
if you do find that you're constipated, you can add some things to your diet to make your
life a little easier. One thing is ground flax, flax comes from a plant and it looks
like this when it's growing and it has a little flower and in the flower pod, are seeds. And
that's where we get our flax seeds. These are taken and ground, you can add them daily
to your diet and that helps keep your colon nice and clean and things don't get built
up. You can take the flax and add it to yogurt, you can add it to your oatmeal, you can bake
with it, or if you're constipated you can take a spoonful, it doesn't really swirl
- it doesn't mix up that great but mix it up, and drink it down, and that will help
get things moving. Then follow that up with a change in your diet including more fiber,
green leafy vegetables and tons of water. I'm Lauren Roy for Sugar Hollow Farm in Phillipston,
Mass.
