Hi This is Chuck Boyk. I'm often asked
how long is a person have presented a personal injury case?
And the answer is that there's no magic answer.
Each individual types of cases it different stature of limitations.
So for example if you have a negligent situation
that would be a situation like a car accident
(um) or something like the that the. Stature of limitations is
two years from the date of the accident under Ohio law for adult
for a person who's under the age of 18 which is considered a minor
under Ohio law you have two years after the person's eightieth birthday
or the day before the individuals 20th birthday
to pursue such a client. For medical malpractice case
you have one year from the days you do or should have known
there is malpractice under Ohio law. For a dog bite situation
the actual schedule limitations is six years. So because there's no magic
answer if this question comes up
