We've moved on to L'Eixample Esquerra and we're now in this vintage style 40m2 attic loft with a 30m2 terrace, Cristina?
Yes, it's a loft with an open plan kitchen and a little dining area leading onto the terrace. We have this Catalan Vault style ceiling, the rustic exposed brick walls...
This feels vintage but also quite resourceful, as there are items here that have been reused like this door from the hallway to the kitchen which is made from two old windows...
Yes exactly, the owner has reused windows to separate the kitchen and the hall.
There's something else that separates the dining room from the kitchen and that's the dining table here.
Yes, exactly. Yet it's still close enough to the kitchen so you can cook...
We also have this lamp, which is made from an old basket. There are little things throughout the flat that make it a bit vintage and rustic.
White floors, white furniture, white shelves, including the Catalan Vault ceiling which they have also painted...
It makes everything really light, very calm, as if you were in a cottage in the country. All the light that comes in through the window makes this a really warm, comfortable place to be.
Quite nostalgic as well,
We have exposed brick walls and a couple of blue motifs that break up the white of the floor and shelving.
The use of blue is interesting because all of the wardrobes in the flat and bedroom are blue. There are also cute wooden English word decorations, which are also in a turquoise blue, that go really well with the white and the bricks
We're actually really looking forward to seeing this bedroom, aren't we?

One of the things I like most about the bedroom is the headboard. This wallpaper has touches of blue. We have the repetition of blue and white again. The headboard has the same motifs as the wardrobe doors.
One of the most peculiar things is... the mirrors here. Which, in fact, are exactly the same as the doors that we encountered at the start that separate the hallway to the kitchen
And the little bedside tables and chairs
Yes
and also the décor
An antique effect
In the lower part of the wall we have some white wood trim, I suppose to protect the wall.
The wardrobe interiors are also blue which makes it stand out from the white of the rest of the room.
We have a single bathroom but it's worth mentioning it because the floor and the surfaces are in the same style.
Yes, there are made from tiles that also have a really rustic feel. Again we have this same Catalan Vault ceiling, but this time painted blue...
Yes, and we should say that, as we are in Barcelona, we have this slight hint of a maritime motif as well.
Here is the terrace, the gem of the flat. You can tell that we're in L'Eixample because the terrace retains the original railings of the building but it has been restored so that it has the same style as the rest of the apartment, with blue tones, bricks, touches of brown...
Artificial grass,
The decking and this iron wrought table
The iron table and chairs are worn but they are important in maintaining this aged feel, the vintage motif that continues throughout the flat.
It's as if you have travelled back in time. When you were little, when you were sat in chairs just like this, especially on terraces...
I think we should just relax here and enjoy the last of the sun because the days are starting to get cooler. Winter is on its way...
