You a collector?
No.
Why?
No gamer would play both those games.
Oh, it’s for a gift, actually.
Grandson?
No, son.
RPG or FPS?
Sorry?
Does your son like RPG or FPS?
I have no idea. What’s FPS?
First-Person Shooter
Does he like fighting in a war and blowing up aliens or stuff like that?
Well, if he does, then he’s FPS
And what’s the other one?
RPG, it’s a role-playing game. It’s like a fantasy world, there’s quests like you have to make a potion, or assemble all the planets in your solar system, or you reunite a chalice with the crown and blah, blah, blah.
A lot of strategy, a lot of work, too much work
So you’re an FPS man.
Mos def. I don’t want a journey I want to shoot some dude hiding behind a barn. Who deserves it.
Violent stuff.
Not really.
Sounds like it but really what it's about is seeing through the eyes of someone else, finding a rhythm. Plus FPS is so clear cut, you know. It’s red versus blue, first to fifty wins, it's that kind of stuff you know.
I love it. I love it. I zone out.
But most people are either FPS or RPG. I mean I guess there are some people that play both, but I haven’t met them.
So, uh, as far as FPS goes, which one of these?
Now that one's pretty boss. Actually, I started out on this one. The older version.
You ever play any of these before?
No. I am a shooter, though, in real life.
A shooter?
Yeah, I mean I collect firearms.
Oh, what kind?
Oh, you name it. Revolvers, assault rifles, shotguns.
Nice.
You?
No, no never shot a gun. In fact, never held a gun.
No hunting, huh?
No way.
Who is that talking?
My mom.
What’d your dad say about it.
Mom’s the boss, huh?
Yeah.
Yeah, hunting is a whole world. You should try it some time. It’s very different from gaming.
Ah, but you’ve never been gaming.
That’s right. Good point.
I’m kidding.
But I’m sure it's cool.
You know just being out there.
Where the real wild things are.
Oh yeah, there’s nothing like it.
Hey, I’m sorry that was rude. Didn’t mean to just walk off like I was dissing you.
Oh no, I didn’t feel dissed. Thanks
You know, if your son’s a shooter like you, he’d probably like this game.
You know, actually, I don’t know if he’s a shooter or not. Truthfully, I haven’t seen him in a while. His mother and I are not together.
We’ll get him both. You cant go wrong with that.
Okay.
How old is he?
Thirteen.
This RPGs for younger kids. These two. They’d work.
Thank You.
Wayne.
Josh.
Nice to meet you, Josh.
Nice to meet you.
Hey I, uh, wrote down a couple of websites here that I like to go to. Pictures of weapons. You don’t have to shoot, but you have to admire the beautiful machinery,
The craftsmanship, it’s like a Swiss clock. And they have to be, cause you know your life could depend on it so anyway…
This one here shows you weapons of famous gun men. You know, like Billy the Kid, or Bonnie and Clyde. You know Bonnie and Clyde?
Yeah.
Yeah. John Dillinger, the gangster, like Capone, Al Capone.
And, uh, this one here is weapons of men of war, soldiers, George Armstrong Custer. Robert E. Lee, right? Or Hitler, the revolver that he carried with him at all times.
Very cool. Thank you. Thank you. You know I’m going to go check this out.
Alright.
Thanks.
Oh hey, you forgot your….
