On this section we see the human machine interface of the panel
where on the left hand side we have 14 LED’S indicating
a summary of the control panel status
We have a liquid crystal display and a keypad with buttons
to execute quick fire detections and indications functions
as per EN54 and NFPA72 and buttons for input,
numbers and to navigate in the human machine interface
The main control panel CPU’S are located on the main rack right hand side
The panel in SIL2 or SIL3 configuration has 2 CPU’S installed continuously working
one operating the other one in stand-by ready to intervene in case the first one fails
In no SIL application only 1 CPU can be installed.
There are then additional expansion racks,
in this example we have 3 racks that can be up to 10 racks in each panel.
Each rack carries up to 15 input, output and communication cards.
The 14th slot of each rack is dedicated for the rack controller card,
which communicates with the cards of the rack,
communicates with the other rack controllers 1 00:01:43,500 --> 00:01:46,500 and communicates with the main CPU’S.
On the top of the cabinet we see the 2 redounded hot swap power supply,
it is installed in a dedicated rack with 4 slots for power supply modules
Each module feeds 20 A at 24 VDC
so the total maximum we can have is 80 A
The card on the left hand side is the controller,
which balance the load on the installed power supplies
and charges and checks the batteries.
