So if you've ever heard the expression drop and give me twenty; you know they are talking
about pushups; and push ups are great, because they hit the pecks, they hit the triceps,
they do hit the back to a degree; and the abdominals. So it's one of those exercises
it's a good cornerstone for the upper body. So what we're going to do, is we're going
to start off; we'll start off doing the pushups on the knees, which is usually what you'll
see a lot of women or people that don't have a lot of upper body strength; and what it
does, is it takes the leverage of the whole body off of them. So go ahead and hit about
ten. And you see he keeps his hands about shoulder width apart, goes down and there's
a lot of variations; a lot of people will tell you have to touch your chest to the ground,
and things like that, but this is a good solid push up that he's doing right now off of his
knees. Okay, come on up. Then there's the full blown push up and go ahead, we'll do
a few of those. And again, his back is straight he's going down easily, he's not jerking his
body around; he's exploding back up, you can see his triceps working, you can see his back
muscles, and his chest working as well. We'll do one more variation and the triangle which
is what you'll see a lot in Kung Fu and martial arts, and this really concentrates on the
triceps, we'll only do a few of those, because these are a little bit harder and I know we've
been working him. So pushups; if you hear drop and give me twenty, Steve is just showing
you what to do.
