We have to solve also a problem of refugees, Rwanda from refugees who must return in country.
We have to solve also problem of reconciliation, because, here, an extremism which is making
the troubles between ethnicities.
And do you see the international peacekeeping forces, MONUC, providing any relief to the situation?
The MONUC is helping government in choosing a fighting way. That's the problem.
It's a contradiction of principles of United Nations.
Rough estimates of the number of forcibly displaced in this part of the Democratic Republic of Congo
have now surpassed 104,000 in this conflict with the LRA [Lord's Resistance Army].
Many of these internally displaced people are still hiding in the bush.

The displaced population is in dire need of food, shelter, medicine, clothes, other aid items.
The roads are very, very poor in that region and so insecure that getting assistance to people is
next to impossible.
With the recently added component of a third-party rebel group, the Lord's Resistance Army [LRA],
the fate of the Eastern DRC remains volatile.
Following the arrest of Laurent Nakunda, fragmented militias still remain in control of over 40 villages
within the region.
It has been said that the conflict in Congo has killed and displaced more than both the wars in
Afghanistan and Iraq combined.
