So here I have my Extruder. This is basically like a giant Play Dough factory. It's a wonderful
thing. And you can buy Dyes on the Internet or through your clay store that are precut.
This is called the Dye. The piece that actually you plunge the clay through. And they come
in a variety of shapes and sizes. And basically with this Dye, it's called a Handle Dye. It's
got a bunch of different shapes that are ideal for making handles. And then you take the
cover. You choose which one you're going to use. And you cover over everything but the
one that you want. Then you take the whole assembly and put it here. And once you've
got it in here, you connect it to the bottom of the Extruder using these little hooks.
You want to check and make sure that you have got your Dye hold showing really nicely which
I do now. Now if you don't find a Dye that has the shape that you're looking for on the
Internet or in a store. You can actually your own. They sell blank Dyes. This is really
hard plastic and it fits perfectly within this barrel. You can use a drill or a Band
saw. And you can draw any shape you want. And then cut it out to get any variety of
shapes for handles and other things. Extruder's a great tool.
