Reporter:
Yokota’s safety fest kicked off with the grand opening of the base’s new motorcycle
safety range. Japanese and American students were invited in an effort to educate them
on how to react in a crisis.
Lt Col Eric Gaulin:
What I hope is that whether it’s a child or a middle school age child can learn from
some hands on experience what’s the consequences of their actions if they see smoke can they
get out of that house in time if there is any earthquake this is how I should react
to it or if I’m just walking outside the base for traffic safety maybe I need to look
both ways again I live someplace different I just p-c-s-ed from the United States and
now I live in japan things are going to be different.
