Army Chief of Staff General George Casey
says the Army is working hard to build more resilient soldiers, families, and civilians.
We found some folks up at the University of Pennsylvania
who have been studying mental fitness and resilience for 30 years,
and we started working with them to build a self-assessment tool
that any soldier and ultimately any family member or civilian will be able to go online
in the privacy of their own home, spend about 15 or 20 minutes answering some questions,
and get a readout on what their strengths are in the five key domains of fitness in general.
Casey made the comments at the Association of the United States Army 2009 Annual Meeting.
