AND IT'S PERFECT FOR RELAXING AND WATCHING TV.
BY LEAVING THE EXISTING TILE,
AND INSTALLING THE FIREPLACE HIMSELF,
PETER SAVED A BUNDLE ON NEW FLOORING AND LABOR COSTS.
JONATHAN ALSO ADDED A SECTION TO THEIR EXISTING COUCH,
GIVING THEM A LOT MORE SEATING FOR VERY LITTLE MONEY.
IT WAS SO DAUNTING AND JUST SEEMED LIKE THERE WAS NO WARMTH,
AND NOW THERE'S SO MUCH TO IT-- THERE'S SO MUCH LIFE TO IT NOW.
BY PURCHASING A HOME WITH FOUR BEDROOMS,
JULIE AND PETER CROSSED OFF ONE OF THEIR DREAM HOME ITEMS
AND HAVE A ROOM FOR EACH CHILD
AND A BEAUTIFUL MASTER SUITE FOR THEMSELVES.
THAT'S A HUGE THING. THAT'S A HUGE THING.
YEAH.
JULIE AND PETER KEPT THEIR COSTS LOW
BY PAINTING THE ROOMS THEMSELVES,
BUYING OFF-THE-SHELF DOORS,
AND REUSING SOME OF THE BATHROOM HARDWARE
LEFT BEHIND BY THE SELLERS.
IT'S GORGEOUS. I LOVE IT. I LOVE EVERYTHING.

BOUGHT THEIR HOME FOR $544,000,
JONATHAN'S ESTIMATE WAS $84,000,
BUT WITH A SAVINGS OF $10,000,
THE RENO CAME IN AT $74,000.
TO PAY FOR IT, THE COUPLE CHOSE TO DIP INTO A LINE OF CREDIT,
BRINGING THE TOTAL COST OF THEIR DREAM HOME
TO $618,000.
BUT TO GET THE HOUSE OF THEIR DREAMS,
IT WAS ALL WORTH IT.
IS THIS NOT YOUR DREAM HOME?
ABSOLUTELY.
DEFINITELY. I LOVE THIS PLACE.
WE MADE OUR WISH LIST, AND I THINK NOTHING'S MISSING.
WHEN YOU GUYS FIRST WALKED IN HERE
AND IT WAS JUST A TOTALLY EMPTY SHELL,
IT'S PRETTY HARD TO ENVISION WHAT WE COULD DO WITH THE PLACE,
BUT YOU GUYS TOOK A HUGE LEAP OF FAITH,
AND I THINK IT PAID OFF.
YEAH.
BUT NOW I THINK IT'S TIME
THAT WE LEAVE IT TO YOU GUYS TO ENJOY.

TO DREAM HOME IN JUST A FEW WEEKS,
AND THE HOUSE THAT WAS ONCE AN EMPTY SHELL
IS FULL, FINISHED, AND READY FOR THEIR FAMILY.
WE LOVE THE HOUSE.
WE'LL PROBABLY HAVE TO LIVE HERE TILL WE'RE OLD AND GRAY
TO PAY IT OFF, BUT WE'LL HAPPILY DO IT.
