Welcome to Independent Learning with Cambrian College.
If you look, I've openned up the Accounting Manual to give an idea how you should approach your course.
If you go to the second page or somewhere close to the front of your manual, you should find your instructor's information.
The first thing I would recommend is that you contact your instructor.
either by phone or by e-mail
Then look through the guide. This is your table of contents which should let you know what is expected in each
module. Don't be surprised if the module does not line up with a chapter numbers in your book.
Often your book may be in a different order or some of the chapters may be omitted.
As I go through I should also find a schedule that I can use
to
figure out when my information is due. Module two is due week second. You can see that the test here is during week five.
What I would do is, I suggest that you fill in the dates, so that you have an idea of when everything should be done by.
Remember that you have to have everything done including all tests, assignments, and quizzes before or on the last day of your course.
You should also find the course outline. This is a very good thing to keep because
if you need transfer credit later at another institution, you will have a copy of the course outline. It's in your manual.
The course outline also
gives you the topics that are going to be covered and the learning outcomes. Have a look
at those. Those are what you're going to need to be tested on.
Finally, near the end of the course outline, you should find the evaluation methods. If you have any questions about the course itself,
please contact your instructor.
If you have any questions about the information or if you're missing pages please
contact the Continuing Education office. Thank you, and have a good day!
