The supply of money is determined by the central bank in an economy.
Without counterfeiters which do not make up a significant portion of
the money supply in most economies, the central bank in the economy.
For example, in the United States there is the Federal Reserve. It prints
all the money in the economy. So, there are many tiers of circulation
of money: M1, M2, M3 for example. You can go Wikipedia it. However, all
you have to know is that money supply is determined by the central bank.
So, if money supply is determined by the central bank, then it’s a
vertical line simply because the central bank sets the money supply in
an economy.
