The Mop-man. (Behind the scenes)
I adapted the Richard Ramiro's comic
because I know him from long time ago
Melina was the perfect director to adapt
to the silver screen my most prestigious graphic novel.
I don't know, we have connected in such a way...
with our eyes, let's say.
We met in an optical shop.
Yes, I am very happy that I'm been choosen for the role in this film,
moreover if we count the great amount of big stars
wanting the same role as me, I'm sure they would have fitted nicely.
Melina call a wide casting screening and there were a lots of actors, but truly
no one had the features that Melina wanted for the character.
The actors had everything very well studied, rehearsed
and Melina was very professional, she was on top of everybody.
Well, quiet. Name?
Miguel Rodriguez
Sex?
Em.
Profession?
Actor.
When you please.
Mop-man, Mop-man!
I'm gonna stop you from mopping the entire world!
When you please.
Okay.
Mop-man, Mop-man!
I'm gonna end your plan to mop the world!
How about that?
When you please.
Mop-man, Mop-man.
I'm gonna frustrate your plan to mop the world.
Was it OK?
F-ck you all!
Huh, cool.
When you please.
Ahem.
Tweet, tweet, tweet!
Holy mother of God! It's: "Mop-man, Mop-man, I'm gonna stop you from mopping the world"
Idiot!
Sorry.
Tweet, tweet, tweet!!
Ok? Alright?
Working with Rose Vidalosky has been an amazing
experience, well, just look at the huge amount of wonderful
movies to which she has given birth.
I cannot recall any of them.
You asked me about my colleage, Pedro Perez.
I feel he is an irreplaceable person in the suburbs.
The truth is, working with him has been disgusting.
Because he is obviously a junkie.
A junkie who kills his time being high as f-ck all the time.
Yes, high as f-ck, he's continously.shooting up drugs
everywhere, he endangers his colleagues' hard work.
The feature film respects highly the original graphic novel.
I am confident that Richard Ramiro
must be very proud of the work that has been made.
What do I think about the actor who plays my comic's evil character?
Well, I think he is the main mistake the director made.
I talked to him in person and
I met several evenings with nim
and no.
No. Let's just say that... no.
No, that's it.
No.
He does't even...
No. no. no.
The character doesn't... NO.
Yes, I'd love to film any Ramiro's characters.
When a few days ago, Melina came over
and she wanted to adapt other characters... of mine, of course.
And...
Melina, Me and you... no.
His characters really talk to me.
Yes, I love them.
It's a no-no, Melina.
No.
This would be for my career and also to make him a favor.
No, you ain't making any other movie with my characters in your f-cking life.
Do you understand, Melina? In your whole f-cking life.
I will go on with his characters, definitely yes.
I think he deserves it.
Well, well, well...
Now that I have killed the Radiactive Harlequin,
nobody will frustrate my plan to...
Mop-man, mop-man!
I'm gonna stop your plan to mop the world.
To be honest, I just want to mop the world because in that way I make a favor to people
and they don't need to clean their part.
But what kind of favor are you gonna make to people?
Being a f-cking junkie!?
Have you look at yourself? What favor are you gonna make to the human kind?
Well girl, putting it in that way... okay, that's it.
I won't mop the world, there is no problem at all.
You are trying to fool me, but you won't.
The Radiactive Harlequin is gonna end your evil plans!
Uh, but...
Yes, my future projects...
most of them are international projects, all of them,
you know nothing is settled untilyou sign the contracts...
but there are two of them pretty interesting that will start earlier next year.
What I know for sure is that, in my projects there is no room for
working again with drug addicts
nor persons who affect their jobs.
This may seem a little exaggerated but
it is not very pleasant when you go to the dressing room or make-up room finding
an actor getting high.
Yes?
No?
But... is it done?
Is it recording?
Do I repeat it?
